Trump's Second Term

Whether the legality of the name change figures into the lawsuit outcome is something that I wouldn't know, but it would make AMBASSSDOR Grenell and the Kennedy Center board look pretty bad if a court were to determine that the name change was not legal, and might even generate public sympathy for the musicians.
I don't see how that issue would even come up in such a lawsuit, unless their contract has some clause related to the name. Which would be odd.

Went through about 100 posts on threads. It was about Trump and Epstein. All kinds of links and photos and babies dumped in Lake Michigan. The MAGA people responding, ten or more, all said pretty much "so there are pictures of Trump and Epstein, so what?" They are not going to look at any document from the files unless it is shown on Fox News.
Er, what now?

This latest post about Obama not giving lethal aid and such until after is really just par for the course as he leaves out quite a lot of very relevant information that would show that the narrative he's pushing is very unreasonable. I would suggest tempering any expectations in a discussion with him.
Wait... Are you under the impression that Obama ever gave lethal aid to Ukraine? He did not. After Russia's 2014 invasion, he only gave non-lethal aid.

During Trump's first term, Trump gave lethal aid, including the critical Javelin and Stinger missiles that proven crucial in stopping Russia's initial onslaught. During this first term he also tried to stop the construction of the Nordstream 2 pipeline and get Europe to increase military spending. These were not the actions of someone dancing to Putin's tune.

I understand complaints about him going to soft on Putin, and there's room for criticism about how he's handling the Ukraine war, but the idea that he's under Putin's control doesn't withstand even the most superficial scrutiny.

For those getting your hopes up that finally Trump might be taken down, the Epstein files include a lot of documents that the FBI know are bogus but had to be released anyways because even fake tips are still part of the file. The letter supposedly from Epstein to Larry Nassar is an example: it's known to be fake, but it's still part of the files.

As of this moment, I don't believe there is any confirmation that this submitted tip about a baby is real.

I’m sorry I asked, and would seem to have obliterated the memory of reading that.
( and for good reason, too)

Again, you're full of crap. Congress did that. Trump as the executive was required by law to transfer the assets and the weapons. And he delayed much of the aid. It also should be noted that Ukraine wasn't invaded during Obama's term or even close to it. It wasn't until February of 2022. 6 years later.

Ukraine very much was invaded during Obama's term. Are you really that ignorant of what happened in 2014? That's just embarrassing.

I was wondering about the name change. Probably wouldn't do much but it might make a difference if the name change were seen to reflect a change in the character of the institution. The center's name, management, and stated policy all changed. About the only thing that's the same is the building, and that's not guaranteed.

Trump did in fact own a yacht on Lake Michigan in the 1980s when he watched a baby born to a 13 year old Epstein victims uncle murder and throw the baby overboard. After contacting the FBI in 2020 she was mysteriously murdered.
pictures there

And your defense of fascist Trump Turd proves you don't either. Did Trump delay aid to Ukraine? Did he not blackmail Ukraine unless they announced an investigation into Biden? Just how much gas lighting are you prepared to do for Dur Fuhrer?
Are you under the impression that any of that was done for Putin's sake?

You have lost track of the actual topic in your blind hatred of Trump

Well actually, to be fair, Obama's presidency ran from 2013 to 2019, and Ukraine was invaded in 2014.

It is only 'known' to be fake by Trump's DOJ and FBI, in other words, by Trump himself. So a pretty unconvincing determination.
As for getting my hopes up, I don't have much--but there has been a sudden recent increase in dissent from the cult, as the hardcore right witnesses Trump's pathetic mishandling of the scandal. So a coup remains a possibility even before the expected thrashing come November.
And it goers wayyy deeper than Trump...we really need a separate thread here on what seems destined to be the coverup/political scandal of the century. Trump's DOJ (continuing his blatant disregard for federal law) acknowledging that there are 1.7 million...yes--MILLION documents in the file. That represents a *huge* investigation. So the obvious question, which should be the headline every day by every news agency, is why is it with 1,500+ victims, and 1.7 million documents, a sole (female!) conspirator is sitting in 'jail' (luxury housing) right now for this enormous conspiracy crime involving multiple billionaires, celebrities, and politicians? That is the question Trump's base wants an answer to, and they haven't gotten a good response yet (we all know why).

No, it was done because Trump is in Putin's pocket and Trump is a corrupt lying turd.
If Trump was actually in Putin’s pocket, why did he oppose the Nordstream 2? It would have been easy to just sit that out. Why did he approve lethal aid to Ukraine? You said that was congress, but he could have vetoed it and he didn’t. Why did he strike Iran, one of Putin’s only actual allies? Your theory doesn’t actually make any sense.

It was sent from the wrong location, after Epstein was dead. It doesn’t take the FBI to figure out it’s fake.

Many of those files are likely garbage. They get a tip from a lunatic or a prankster or just a liar, it creates a document that goes in the file. It doesn’t get purged even if they know it’s garbage. And many of them might not be garbage but of little significance. For example, a credit card receipt might establish Epstein’s location at a certain date and time, but not tell us anything else. Such documents also might have a lot of redundancy, which could be useful if the case went to trial and some of them get thrown out on technicalities, but that doesn’t matter now. You seem to be impressed by the number of documents, but the number of documents tells us nothing useful.
So the obvious question, which should be the headline every day by every news agency, is why is it with 1,500+ victims,
Where exactly are you getting that number? If you cite some news source, where did they get it from? Is that a real number with evidence to back it up, or is that just somebody’s ass pull that got turned into conventional wisdom by repetition?

Why would that be relevant to the contract terms? I doubt it would be, though again, the contract terms aren’t public.

If this guy broke the contract, he may be on the hook for monetary damages (again, depending on the terms of the contract). That wouldn’t necessarily mean he’s on the hook for a million, though. Trial could find him liable but for a smaller amount.

If Trump was actually in Putin’s pocket, why did he oppose the Nordstream 2? It would have been easy to just sit that out.
Cause Nordstream 2 was never going to happen with the EU firmly opposed to it. It was no skin off Trump's nose to go along with the EU parliament. .
Why did he approve lethal aid to Ukraine? You said that was congress, but he could have vetoed it and he didn’t.
No he couldn't. They would have easily overridden any veto. It was a veto proof majority that passed the bill.
Why did he strike Iran, one of Putin’s only actual allies? Your theory doesn’t actually make any sense.
Because he is also owned by US Oil producers who very much want to undermine Iran and it's government. Why is it that Trump is trying to start a war with Venezuela? Do you actually believe that nonsense it is about drugs?

Cause Nordstream 2 was never going to happen with the EU firmly opposed to it.
What the actual ◊◊◊◊ are you talking about? It DID happen. The only reason it never came online is because of the 2022 invasion, but they built the thing. The EU did not oppose its construction.
Because he is also owned by US Oil producers who very much want to undermine Iran and it's government.
US oil company interests are in direct conflict with Russian state interests. If Trump is owned by US oil companies, then he isn't owned by Putin.
Why is it that Trump is trying to start a war with Venezuela? Do you actually believe that nonsense it is about drugs?
Again, you think that's something Putin wants? You can conclude drugs are a pretense if you want, but taking action against Venezuela (and Cuba by extension) hurts Russian interests, it doesn't help them.

You don't have to like Trump to recognize that he isn't acting on Putin's behalf.

I don't know. I know he greets Putin like a long lost buddy every time he meets him. He treats Zelensky with contempt.

Token actions on unimportant issues for the sake of optics? ("See, I can't be Putins's buddy because I did this bad thing he wouldn't like")

The reality is that Putin didn't give a flying ◊◊◊◊ about Iran. He also didn't give a ◊◊◊◊ about Nord Stream 2 because by that stage, Germany was already winding down its dependency on Russian gas

Why did he approve lethal aid to Ukraine? You said that was congress, but he could have vetoed it and he didn’t.
If you remember, he tried to leverage Ukraine military aid against getting President Zelenskyy to co-operate with Bill Barr to obtain dirt on the Bidens. You can't deny this, we've all seen the readout of the phone call....

... although you will note that link to the White House webpage containing that readout no longer works... now I wonder why that is?

But never fear ... here is a link that works https://www.scribd.com/document/427411381/Unclassified09-2019

I'm guessing once that didn't work, and Barr and Ghouliani couldn't get what they wanted from Zelenskyy, there wasn't any point in keeping up the pretense. The people around him will have told him that continuing to withhold military aid would lose him support in the Senate and the House, as well has among his MAGA chuds.

NOTE: I donlt think The Fat Orange Turd would have come to that conclusion - he's too stupid to have figured it out himself
