Rubio is now going to run the US and Venezuela. And Trump fired congress, because Congress leaks. Congress not needed for the rest of the term. Also, Midnight Hammer (B-2) bombers will hit any country that is not cooperating and is not the EU.

  • US to 'run' Venezuela: Trump says the US is "going to run" Venezuela until "a safe, proper and judicious transition" of power. He was pressed on how exactly the US would do this, but did not provide detail
  • Oil infrastructure: He also says US companies will go into Venezuela to fix its oil infrastructure and "start making money for the country"
  • US prepared for second attack: He says the US is prepared to stage a second attack on Venezuela, but it is probably not necessary
  • A 'partnership': Trump then spoke of a "partnership" between the US and Venezuela, which he says will make Venezuelans "rich, independent and safe". He referred to Maduro as an "illegitimate dictator"

Trump will adopt a corporatist approach. Like a private equity group taking over a failing company, they will asset strip and load the victim with the debt of the take over.

The security and management of services we can assume will be taken over by private for profit US companies. Venezuelan liabilities will be covered by a lien on oil sales and assets.

At the end of the day the people might end off better off than now but they will be for ever a client of US corporations that will own all of Venezuelan assets. We can assume the the new Venezuelan constitution will be modelled on Project 2025. Almost a test bed for MAGA economic 'theories'.

Smuggling and crime will no doubt be taken over by traditional US criminals like the mafia.

Let's be very clear the rest of the world can do nothing to stop Trump, that is entirely down to the politicians, judiciary, military and ordinary citizens of the USA to do something about. The rest of the world can do ◊◊◊◊ all about the mess the US electorate made.
 
Trump proves again he is nothing but a thief. Venezuela has oil and his supporters in the oil industry want the profits. Venezuela nationalized the Oil industry in 1976. 50 years ago. This was never about drugs. Note, we aren't invading Colombia. But I bet the oil companies are drooling over Iran right now. Another nation where the US deposed their leader over oil.
