Cont: The Russian Invasion of Ukraine part 9

Maybe he'd be satisfied with a Peace Prize? The FIFA one has gone for this year, but I hear the prestigious Berks, Bucks and Oxfordshire Intra Pub Aunt Sally Association Peace Prize is still up for grabs.

Too late, Trump heard about it and is threatening an amphibious assault on Aylesbury if it isn't awarded to him.

Russian forces have begun mounting sea ISO containers on tanks, adding to the improvised structures already seen on the battlefield, such as so-called “sheds” and “grills.”

The Telegram channel Region 22 published the video footage.

The video captures two tanks of an unidentified type.

Due to the low video quality and the container superstructures, it is difficult to determine the exact version, though features of the rear section suggest the vehicles may be T-80BVM tanks.

A Russian general has been killed in a car bombing in Moscow, officials have said.

Russia's Investigative Committee said Lt Gen Fanil Sarvarov died on Monday morning after an explosive device planted under a car detonated.

Sarvarov, 56, was the head of the armed forces' operational training department, the committee added.

It said one theory being investigated was that the bomb was planted with the involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. Ukraine has not commented.

Looks like a great way to keep a crew form escaping a damaged/burning tank. It's not like someone cold stroll up or fly a drone up next to it, what with the giant blind spots now employed.

On the night of December 22, unmanned aerial vehicles operated by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine struck the Tamanneftegaz Marine Oil Terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region.

As a result of the strikes, elements of the oil terminal’s equipment, the liquefied petroleum gas pier, and port infrastructure were hit, triggering a large-scale fire.

Kazakhstan cuts off key supply route for Russia’s war machine with new export controls
New restrictions on dual-use goods and defense exports deal a significant blow to Moscow’s sanctions evasion network, threatening production delays for Lancet drones, Kalibr missiles, and other weapons systems.

Ukraine has hit a major Russian oil refinery with British missiles, Ukrainian military and security officials said on Thursday.

The Storm Shadow missiles caused multiple explosions at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Rostov, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

The refinery was one of southern Russia's biggest suppliers of oil products and was supplying diesel and jet fuel to Russian troops fighting in Ukraine, according to the officials.

Zelensky is in the US discussing an end to the war.

I have $10 on Trump slagging him off after the talks when Zelensky refuses to accept Russia’s Trump’s proposal.
