I am specifically interested in what Atheist and smartcooky have to say about this experienced NZ journalist.

This will probably get me voted out of the vast right-wing conspiracy, but I do feel some sympathy for the media. I don't think they have all really gotten on the "trans activists are always right," bandwagon, but they see what happens to those who don't at least mouth fealty to that principle and so they go along.

From what I know she is anti Muslim in Bradford, which may be an issue that concerns the Albert Park rabble, tho I think they just hate her for not agreeing with Shaneel Lal's conversion therapy law as it applies to medication and surgery for kids.

She is the top expert on pediatric gender medicine in Finland and the chief psychiatrist at one of its two government-approved pediatric gender clinics, at Tampere University, where she has presided over youth gender transition treatments since 2011. Her research has even been cited—though not accurately—by American supporters of “affirming care” for gender-dysphoric youth. She is one of the last people in the world who could be accused of being “reactionary,” a “transphobe,” or uninformed on the subject of trans health care.

All kids have wishes, dreams and fantasies about what they want to be when they grow up. If every kid who dreamed of being a fighter pilot, or an airline pilot, or an astronaut, or a doctor, actually went on to become those things, the world would be full of pilots, astronauts and doctors.

I'm surprised that he thinks only four out of five would drop it. I would have thought it would be more like 95 out of every 100. Almost certainly, for pre-teens and young teens who question their sexuality, it is almost always just a passing phase they will go through.

Oh, you think you have a gotcha don't you? Well, you don't, but what you have successfully shown with your quote is just how naive you are about how things work in the real world.

Neither Churchill nor FDR were free to say whatever they wanted about Stalin. They were in the middle of a global war and the fate of the entire world was at stake.

Posie Parker, however, faces no such restrictions. She is free to denounce the Nazis, white supremacists and other scumbags who show up to her rallies to support her. But she refuses to do so, because if they don't show up, hardly anyone else will either.

I don't know anything about this organization, but this is where some of the data apparently comes from, though there are multiple sources cited with fairly wide-ranging estimates and at least some acknowledgment of the competing claims about whether figures are inflated one way or another.
