Cont: The thread for stupidity from GQP politicians who don't have their own thread Part II

There is another that Paxton might like to know about...

Revelations 12:12 (NIV)
"Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
He was in a bind, cause' he was way behind and was willing to make a deal.

Kristi Noem: "It's amazing what President Trump has done. 2.5 million people have left our country because of his leadership."

And she says that like it's a good thing...

And I thought this admin was trying to grow the US population. Ah, I understand! The white girls and women will need to be ◊◊◊◊◊◊ sooner and more often to produce more white babies. Don't even need to be married, really. Should make that compulsory by law...

Megyn Kelly Says She's Prayed to Charlie Kirk 'So Many Times' to Give Her 'Guidance' Since His Death

Megyn Kelly said there are times when she still looks to the late right-wing activist Charlie Kirk for advice following his death in September.

Speaking to far-right activist Jack Posobiec at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest in Phoenix on Friday, Dec. 19, Kelly, 55, mentioned Erika Kirk's recent sit-down with conservative podcaster Candace Owens, claiming that Erika had called her to ask if she wanted to moderate the conversation.

Erika, 37, and Owens, 36, met on Monday, Dec. 15, and ended up having a 4 1/2-hour-long discussion, the latter shared on X at the time. In recent months, Owens has been sharing multiple conspiracy theories about who was responsible for Charlie's death, which has allegedly caused a rift between the two, per CNN.

Kelly spoke about the supposed "feud" between Erika and Owens during her SiriusXM show last week, insisting, "It's been going on now for a while," before giving her take on the whole thing.

She then said during Friday's TPUSA event, “I've prayed so many times to Charlie, and to God, to give me the right guidance on how to handle this whole thing..." mentioning that there has been a "fracture" within the conservative party amid the tensions.

I should hope there would be a little fracture when people, even those doing as bad a job at being Christians as so many are, realize that praying to Charly Kirk is a little further from the ten commandments than even they can countenance.
Kelly is a Catholic. Catholics are allowed to pray to deceased non-saints for intercession. It's not clear from the full quote whether that's what she's doing. When I lived in Italy, some people I knew there prayed through their dead relatives for intercession.

As a presbyterian Kirk was a filthy rotten heathen in the eyes of the rcc. Kelly is committing blasphemy by praying to her false god.

I think you are wrong about this.

The Bible and the Vatican are rather clear on Necromancy, which includes talking to the Dead.

Kelly has admitted that she is a Witch.

IIRC Jesus said the dead would stay in their graves until Judgement Day, when they would rise from them to be judged and either get sent to Hell or get to live again on earth, which would then be part of the Kingdom of Heaven. Or something. Anyway, I can see why claiming to be talking to the dead is a no no in most brands of Christianity. I guess an exception is made for saints according to the RCC, they're judged immediately and get to go straight to heaven rather than moulder until the second coming.

I think you overestimate the animosity that the Catholic (sorry, the Roman Catholic) church has towards other denominations.

As far as I know, Roman Catholic doctrine since Vatican II is that other churches are Christian, and members of those churches can attain salvation. But only the Roman Catholic church has everything - the doctrine, the sacraments, and the apostolic authority.

No, I just understand my cathecism. Churches not in communion with the rcc are heathen and not truly christian.

Just bcause factions within the rcc have temporarily allied with said heathens doesn't change that Kelly professed worship of a false god.

Awfully convenient that Nicki Minaj found her conservative voice right as she’s losing a $20M mansion and her husband needs a pardon

Here's Penguinz0 pointing out she was an illegal immigrant and still isn't a US citizen.

And she is brown so she fills all "the criteria". Would be fun if ICE dragged her off the stage at her next MAGA type appearance.

I literally just posted a Catholic source that says otherwise.

Are you thinking pre-Vatican II?

No, I'm thinking current canon law. 99.999% of what the church says about its attitude to other denominations is lies, the other .001% is accidentally letting the truth slip.
The Roman Catholic church openly lies about its own doctrine? I find that hard to believe.

Now, if you're talking about evangelical Protestantism, you'd be onto something. The church I attended held that all other churches were literally Satanic. The Pope was the Antichrist and you should never let a Mormon bless your house because a Mormon blessing is actually a demonic curse.

That explains why we have had to fix so many things in our 1939-built country cottage home! A Mormon must have cursed us!

Jack Chick's infamous Chick Tracts had a whole series on the demonic evils of the Catholic Church, including one about Communion entitled, I kid you not, "The Death Cookie".

I forget the name for it but there's a classical problem of condemning a thing in such a way to make it sound very appealing. If Catholicism actually called it a death cookie I might have stayed in!
