The thread for stupidity from GQP politicians who don't have their own thread

Sometimes I feel like the history of the planet for the last three centuries could be summed up adequately by the statement "the wrong people have all the money".

Or possibly " the short-sighted masses have given their money to the worst individuals"

"The people with the fewest morals, principles, scruples, and the least sense of shame have an inherit advantage in stealing everyone else's money."

Dr. Oz is also telling a huge lie about the Republican position on that. It is their view that women and doctors should not have a voice when it comes to medical decisions.

Moreover, the big push now is for national prohibition, so when he says that he supports "local politicians" being involved (man, he couldn't even say "local community standards"), that is not consistent with the GOP.

I don't want a federal, state, OR local politician telling me what I cannot do with my own body. They can mind their own bodies. Mine is no business of theirs. Stupid, stupid, stupid conservative SC justices. Something else we can 'thank' Donnie and McConnell for. Arses.

MTG threw out another bit of horrible.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Wednesday that if the GOP wins a majority in Congress, it will investigate companies that stopped donating to them after the Capitol riot.

I don't think I need to add any comment.

Maybe this is really a bizarre experiment by her to find out just how outrageously idiotic and nuts a Republican politician has to be before Republicans will stop supporting him/her. If so, I've got some bad news for her...

Representative Paul Gosar, R-Arizona:
If there is not one leader in our politics or our military who will attempt to end this war without unthinkable global death and destruction, then I must.

This is my letter to Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, inviting them to Phoenix, Arizona to engage in peace talks.

Maybe he can fix their teeth while he's at it.

I presume any cease fire provisos, moreso from the Russian side, will require US federal compliance, and Paul's not in a position to negotiate any of that.
Plus... I suspect Zelensky has fewer guns taking aim at him where he is than he would in red state Phoenix. [emoji15]
Which brings me to... I doubt Paul's ready to cover the massive security bill such a summit would require. Nor have cleared it with the state.

This has a lot in common with why we don't, and can't, allow border states to set Immigration policy.

Once again, there is no lie too stupid for these people to believe, and once again it's our old pal from New Hampshire, Don Bolduc.

GOP New Hampshire Senate nominee repeats hoax that kids are using litter boxes in schools

The Republican Senate nominee in New Hampshire shared at a Thursday event the hoax claim that children are being told they can identify as anthropomorphic cats and use litter boxes in schools.

Don Bolduc, a retired Army brigadier general who is challenging Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan, made the comments while speaking to supporters in North Hampton, according to audio obtained by CNN’s KFile from an attendee. The claim, which has occasionally been cited by some Republican politicians, has been repeatedly debunked.

“Guess what? We have furries and fuzzies in classrooms,” Bolduc told the crowd. “They lick themselves, they’re cats. When they don’t like something, they hiss – people walk down the hallway and jump out,” he said, as a hissing sound could be heard.

“And get this, get this,” he continued. “They’re putting litter boxes, right? Litter boxes for that. … These are the same people that are concerned about spreading germs. Yet they let children lick themselves and then touch everything. And they’re starting to lick each other.”

“I wish I was making it up,” concluded Bolduc. “I honestly wish it was a ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit.”

At least half of the audience believed him. And he got to be a general in the US Army.
