Split Thread Conspiracy theories around the Russian invasion of Ukraine

All those thousands of Russians suffering and dying for Putin's vainglorious dreams of reconquest would probably like to know if there was some secret spare army just sitting around which he hasn't even deployed yet.
He got one of those from North Korea, and look what happened to them.

How many thousands of tanks makes an invasion, in your estimate?
Do you think invasions are defined by the number of tanks that are owned, applied, set into motion, or where they are placed? You are asking me for my estimate regarding what? I think you are influenced by fear-mongering sources, not by wisdom.

Since you're the one claiming it's not an invasion, then:
A) what do you call it?
B) What criteria does an invasion need to meet to earn the name?

They are only uninvited outside of Donbas and Krim. The Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk are already included in the Russian Federation by decree of the referendums. I'm not sure of the official status of Krim, if you know you can tell me.

Are you saying that I do understand Polish?

I speak five languages but Polish (or any of the other Slavic language) is not one of them.
Drive out the majority of the population that are opposed to foreign occupation by sending in the army to destroy the towns and kill people then bring in your own new population.

Of course your rigged referendum can be declared in your favour.

Germany used the same excuse that it was protecting ethnic Germans when it started to invade places.

You are just joking with us. This thread should be in the humour section.

The Russian Special Military Operation into Ukraine IS NOT AN INVASION. It is (and has been from the very beginning) strategically limited. It is not an invasion. As far as how I think it should end would take more space than this little forum window allows.
 Maybe in Putinist Propaganda land. Not in the Real World.

I am of course mocking your attempt to persuade us that the obvious Russian invasion of Ukraine is not an invasion. If you have in mind a threshold level above which a military incursion can fairly be called an invasion feel free to tell us what that is.

Invasions are defined by where the troops are: if your troops are taking over a large part of another country, you are invading that country.

Would you accept that Russia has been attacking Ukraine since 2022?

I don't think you are up to speed with the dialogue I was having and unfortunately the other half is now mysteriously out of reach. The expression,"Don't change horses in the middle of the stream" is good advice and I'm going to stick with it. :)

If it's raining in the East and the wind is blowing in a westerly direction you can't blame the East for the rain falling in the West tomorrow.

Do you know what a "special military operation" is?

Evasion noted.

They're simple questions, do try again.
