To clarify, i didn't mean 'what are you in favour of? or 'what are you trying to acheive?'': rather, I meant 'what function do you serve?'

Perhaps a better phrasing would be 'why are you?', or maybe not. All I know for sure is that 'what are you?' would be a bad question, because an honest answer would be sent straight to AAH.

Yes, I understand. I am sharing my perspective on the so-called Russian invasion of Ukraine. Someone side-lined the thread by replying in Polish (a language I do not understand) and to talk about shinning shoes but I'm not joining in on such off-topic diversions.

Oh, and nobody's directly mentioned it yet, but it's worth noting that the origin of the idea that Zelenskyy won in an American-backed coup and that's why Russia had to invade was a editorial in, I believe, a German newspaper, the author of which was one Vladimir Putin.

They are only uninvited outside of Donbas and Krim. The Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk are already included in the Russian Federation by decree of the referendums. I'm not sure of the official status of Krim, if you know you can tell me.
Are you saying that I do understand Polish?
I speak five languages but Polish (or any of the other Slavic language) is not one of them.
