I have always been fascinated at the way Hitler consolidated his dictatorship within a year after being chosen for chancellor. There is nothing surprising in Trump's demolition of democracy.

Based on the Trumpian precedent of simply physically removing a rogue president you don't like and putting them in jail, it would now seem quite feasible for a very large crowd of American patriots to roll into the White House, snatch Trump and Vance, and cart the pair off to the clink. Then Mike Johnson is told he is now top dog, to get with the program of governing sensibly and legally, and like in Drag Race, do not ◊◊◊◊ it up.
