President Donald Trump has instructed the Commerce Department to change how the Census Bureau collects data, seeking to exclude immigrants in the United States illegally.

Joe Rogan has been banging on about this. He says that since the Census counts all people and not just all citizens, and since Congressional seats are allocated based on Census data, illegal immigration is a plot by Democrats to stuff blue states with noncitizens so that they get more seats in Congress, take over the country, and destroy democracy.
Do you recognise this? This is the racist
Great Replacement conspiracy theory, a favourite of white supremacists.
The lie here is that is, yes, though the Census does count all people and not just citizens,
it does differentiate between citizens and noncitizens for the purpose of Congressional allocations. Joe is wrong and is spreading lies among the Rightiverse, as usual.
The Wikipedia article above lists proponents of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory, including Elon Musk (who articulated it very clearly on Joe's show recently), Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Matt Gaetz, and Laura Ingraham, among others.
