Would you work for Trump?

Since he's President and Chief Executive, don't we currently all work for Trump?

The president is not your leader or boss. You are not his boss. He is simply a person fulfilling a defined role in a government system. The only thing being led is the executive branch and we are not in that. Let's not grant people more authority than they actually have.

A defined role that taxpayer money funds.

He works for us, regardless of any word salad.

American isn't a team.

Stop the word salad!!! :( ENOUGH!!!

The president of the United states gets paid by taxpayers. He works for US.
Unless you don't pay taxes, which is another topic entirely.

If you are American, your money pays his salary.

Period.

PERIOD

Representatives and elected officials are not employees. They are representatives and elected officials. they don't don't have bosses.

I am their boss. One of many.
That's the fact. Accept it and move on.

You have no authority or ability to direct them. Your taxes are indirectly taken. My money goes to pay various CEOs their salaries when I buy their goods. I'm not their boss.

Lol
Whatever.

Ignorance is bliss.

Differing interpretation of the same facts (taxes are collected and distributed) is not ignorance.

You are not in possession of facts that you have revealed that I have not been previously aware of.

I imagine some people would consider the offer of a position from the President an offer that shouldn't be refused out of respect for the office of the President itself, not necessarily the man holding that office. I wonder if that is was McMaster is doing. Perhaps he is staying there believing that he is some kind of control or safety out of concern of who he would be replaced with.

In view of the way the man holding that office is treating it, that might be the most compelling reason not to work for him.
