Would you work for Trump?

Would you work for Trump?

Would you work for Trump's descent into utter disgrace and humiliation?

As would I. No amount of money would be worth it.

See, you're going into this with the wrong attitude. You can't expect to work for Trump and still do a good job.

But you absolutely could work for Trump and just screw with his head.

Day One, you tell your Deputy Secretary that they're the one who will be doing the actual work of the department, and then you let them get on with it. Your job is to distract, deflect and Bamboozle Trump, so he never finds out what's really going on.

Every meeting, you show up with a short bullet point list that mimics whatever Tweet Rant Trump has gone on recently. You tell him you're just all over it, pushing his agenda. It doesn't matter if any of his tweets are relevant to your department, since he won't know what your department does anyway. It doesn't matter if you're actually doing any of the things you say you are, because he'll never check.

And you just be the most fawning Yes Man in history. No mater what he tells you to do, you agree to it, and declare it the best idea ever. Even the ideas that contradict other ideas. Doesn't matter, since you won't actually do any of it, and he, again, won't bother to check.

If anyone ever rats you out, well, that's just Fake News, meant to make it look like Trump's brilliant ideas aren't being fully embraced by the public service, the nation, and God himself. In fact, whoever said that is probably a Secret Hillary Shill, who should be killed. Did I say killed? I meant fired >wink wink<

And as much as humanly possible, always be the last man out of the room after meeting with him.

I think that would be hella fun!

Sir, I admire your imagination and dedication.

Brilliant.

Some of those legal firms would have no hesitation in defending a serial murderer with video evidence of his crimes. Yet they would baulk at this for propriety's sake!

Well they would likely be paid for that and the serial killer would probably listen to them.

Trump HATES yes-men. He can smell a bad suck-up a mile away and fires them just for practice, to keep his pointing-finger in fine trim. You would have to be in it for the money. And quick money at that.

But if you want a public object lesson in living colour on how to con Trump the so-called con-artiste, look no further than the Saudis and the recent Trump visit, and the subsequent quagmire Trump was lured into over Qatar. They are very good at it indeed, aren't they! ;)

If I were qualified and thought that I could help minimize the harm, absolutely and I would be proud to do so.

There's a old SciFi short story about a guy who works for aliens by going out and chopping the limbs off of the local populace to feed to the aliens. The aliens are eventually over thrown and the guy is lynched by the the towns folk. The they find out that everywhere else the aliens just killed the local populace.

Hell no. I don't think there is any amount of money that would convince me.

I would feel I need a team of lawyers I could call at any moment to protect myself and ask for legal advice for every action I would take.

Didn't read the whole thread, but my answer is:

**** yes I would, and I would be wearing a recording device the entire time.

Yes, if he pays in advance, and if I can find someone more trustworthy than Sessions who will never leave me alone with Trump.

Let us assume great pay and even ignore the moral component. Let us even ignore the pledge of loyalty garbage. Let us even assume you are not in the position s that have treat him like a child (those are the people I'm most curious about).

You still have a massive problem that you have responsibilities and your boss does not respect that. He will provide little guidance on what he likes, then undercut your decisions publicly without talking to you.

That is simply not consistent with what a person should desire.
