the list is too long*, but in essence, Harris made the fault of continuing Biden's campaign that rested on running against Trump while keeping everything else the same or returning it to pre-Trump, instead of offering actual improvements.
In this she was following decades of Democrat policies that focus first and foremost on not rocking the boat and not alienating a more and more right wing political Center.

She could have pointed out how inflation was caused by the last administration, how they had reigned it in and the next steps on how she would make things better. Instead, she said she wouldn't have changed anything when people were clearly upset about the current state of the economy. IMO, it goes back to messaging.

I think we have dismissed a lot of independents. They proudly decide on a trivial matter. Some of them then go on with daily lives and don't come back to vote for 4 years. Maybe 2 years if their governor in the mean time caused the price of eggs and gasoline to go up.
