Why People Voted For Trump – For Those Who Don't Get It

Actually, the left looks more like children running around protesting refusing to accept the results, nice try!

Trump is the most qualified to straighten this country out. He brings new ideas that both parties are unwilling to move forward on. I realize that the left worships at the feet of established losers, but thankfully we aren't going that way.

What ideas and policies do you specifically support? This post, and many others like it, are long on rhetoric and devoid of substance.

So tell me: what do you believe Trump will do that will make America great again?

Wow.
I think I have a bridge to sell you.

It's not as awesome as the one you already bought from the Orange Menace.

Not to mention that proposing ideas that lack the support to get implemented isn't exactly a recipe for success.

...you mentioned before that you knew some people who were voting Trump: and that they seemed like reasonable people. Here is how you break the bubble.

You talk to them. You engage them directly. You go say "Hi!"

You talk to them about what? I dunno. Thats for you Americans to figure out. You've got four years. I know its harder than leaving up to the media to "talk to them." But the media stopped doing their job a while ago: and even if they chose to step up their game now it is just too late anyway.

Yes, it's a very different world now. There really is no more "the media" as it existed at least since the dawn of radio up until the rise of "social media".

We live in strange times and it will take some time to learn how to navigate the new media waters.

Would you mind re-writing this sentence in english? It doesn't make any sense.

I'll make it simpler for you, you're wishing and hoping for a particular candidate but you can't vote. not only that, you seem to be partial to people on TV, maybe you watch too much TV

That make it through the translator?

I'll make it simpler for you,

...no need to make it "simpler." Simply use the english language as most other people use it: that is good enough to me.

you're wishing and hoping for a particular candidate

Well I was wishing and hoping for a particular candidate: but they didn't get elected. So I'm wishing and I'm hoping for a different candidate for next time.

but you can't vote.

DUUUUH. Yes: I've made that perfectly clear.

not only that, you seem to be partial to people on TV, maybe you watch too much TV

Says the guy who voted for *********** Donald Trump.

Everybody is on TV. There isn't a single possible candidate who hasn't had some sort of exposure on TV. I'm partial to one particular person not because "they are on TV": but because they possess a particular set of skills, skills they have acquired over a very long career.

That make it through the translator?

Well you didn't tell me anything that I hadn't already said. I'm not entirely sure why you chose to comment in the first place, nor why you bothered with the translation.

That's all the explanation I ever got.

ETA: Actually, I also got "Special Rights" a few times, but lately that seems to be going more towards LGBTQ.

And it's probably the only answer you'll ever get :D

Well, unless you're unlucky enough to run into one of those White Genocide people. I'm sure they'll have a long, and absurd, answer for you.

So there's a finite amount of "freedom" and it's doled out among people according to race. Thus, there is no amount of additional freedom that can be given to black people without taking it from white people. Taking that freedom from white people would be racist. Therefore, because Democrats include among their platform efforts to improve conditions for black people, Democrats are racists.

Is this really the crux of the argument ChrisBFRPKY (and others; I've seen this elsewhere) is making? I mean, is this among the things that motivated Trump supporters that I simply don't get? If so, then can someone please help me understand how this sentiment is neither racist nor idiotic, so I can realize the folly of my ways in concluding that a lot of Trump supporters are racist and idiotic?

Is all this post-election whining because of the whole "everyone gets a trophy thing"? I ponder this a lot, because this reaction by the left is one of the most pathetic, not to mention scariest things I have ever seen.

Jimmy Carter has announced that he will be attending the upcoming inauguration. After 36 long years, he'll finally get his chance to pass the baton, so to speak:
