VisionFromFeeling - General discussion thread

Well, the enthusiasm of the organizers seemed to diminish significantly after they were made aware of this very thread. People in Sweden are generally blissfully unaware of Anita's existence, claims and track record. Less so now, thanks to this forum.

And yet, bizarrely, her site is plastered with links to this site.

I suppose, given that she describes StopVisionFromFeeling as a fan site, it makes some kind of sense, but I think you'd have to be from Arcturus to appreciate it.

To be fair*, the girl does have a finely developed sense of sarcasm and irony. Unfortunately it gets lost amidst the oh-so-very earnest discussions of her magical powers and constant self-promotion.

*bet you didn't see that coming.

If you were to read some of the numerous e-mails and private chats I've had with her, you wouldn't be so confident that calling StopVFF a "fan site" was intended as sarcasm. Depending on her goals at the time, she has gone the full spectrum on her opinions of the site. Likewise, I go from brilliant to an adulterer to a stalker to helpful and back to brilliant like leaves being blown in an alley. As I pointed out a few weeks ago, she asked me to help develop the protocol for this silly gender identification test.

Remember, this is the same woman who wrote, "I hate the attention this is giving me." Sarcasm? Irony? Nope. It's just part of a pattern of lies and misleading statements to drive her need for attention. To be fair, she might intend something as sarcasm one day, but the next day she might think it means something else. She might believe she's not after attention, but we don't have to believe her self deception.

So, Tristan Chi or Tubba Blubba, do you guys know anyone at www.vof.se? I'd be interested in hearing their side of the story. It seems like this could have been done at someone's house and video cameras can't be that hard to find in Sweden. Their website has only one page in English, so I don't know what they're up to.

The most bothersome thing about this for me is that she had finally agreed to such a comparatively simple test. Now that she's dodged this bullet, she says she will no longer consider doing such a test. She must be breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Did you notice that she didn't present the results of her so-called "study" before the test? It's a nasty habit of hers to break promises like that.

Don't know if this helps, but well done, Tristan Chi.

Part of what's always annoyed me about Annie is that she could probably be quite successful at some worthwhile pursuit and yet she insists on wasting her life with this VfF insanity.

Noli nothis permittere te terere.

Omnia dicta fortiora si dicta Latina. :)

And yes, that waste is annoying. I've met a lot of woomeisters. For some, it's pretty obvious how they ended up peddling their dreck. If you don't have a lot going for you, woo is easier than working and safer than stealing. All this VFF nonsense is the least interesting thing about Anita. It diminishes her many solid achievements and it distracts her from accomplishing anything worthwhile. All the stuff that goes with it - the endless self-promotion, using other people, twisting the good things in her life to fit - it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Does it worry anyone else that Google translate refers to her as "the icon"?

Me, not for one bit.

Ikonen is not a swedish name, when google-translate treats it as swedish you have this comical result.

Ikonen, swedish to english: Icon.
Ikonen, finnish to english: Ikonen.

. ... VFF ... Anita.
... her many solid achievements ...

It's always good to highlight solid achievements, especially for a troubled person like Anita Ikonen/VfF/Alenara the spece alien.

Bookitty, could you list those many solid achievements, please?

I'm wondering about that too.

Not speaking for bookitty, but Ikonen has some solid achievements. She's a very good student. She has her act together enough to get to another country to go to school. Those that have met her in person seem to agree that she's pleasant. Some may disagree, but I don't recall anyone who's actually met her who has written that she's personally not nice. She seems to have the talent to attract an audience when she was lecturing about breatharianism. These are all things that work in her favor as a person.

They are all also things that she can use to prop up her nonsense.

Yeah, I have to echo this. She's not without achievements and she does have potential...which is mainly why watching her devote so much time and energy to delusional nonsense, self deception, and manipulative, attention seeking tactics is so frustrating. It's such a waste.

Yes, I know. Perhaps I should have used a smiley.

The Swedish forum topic has now spilled onto a second page. Now she's getting a beat-down in her native language.

I have to say that the name Jesper Jerkert is a kick-ass name. I assume in Swedish that the Js are pronounced the way Ys are prononced in English.

Jerkert seems to indicate that, while a venue and a videographer might have been early stumbling blocks, it was really that www.vof.se lost interest in Ikonen. At first, it was probably exciting. I'm guessing that paranormal claimants who are willing to be tested are as rare in Sweden as they are in US. But then after a little research (I echo desertgal's thanks, Tristan Chi), they decided she wasn't worth it.

It'd be nice to hear something from Jerkert or someone in Sweden who was involved to see how it really went down. Then we can judge how truthful Ikonen's account was.

Did anyone see that derekcbart posted an entry about IIG's 10 year anniversary party that's happening today in Hollywood? Do you think she might show up with her new skeptical boyfriend? I wouldn't put it past her.
