Just remember ... in all seriousness ... some people who buy crazy end up in the morgue unnecessarily.

If Anita ends up diagnosing someone, "harmlessly", who is in need of medical attention and were to cause a delay of that attention for even one day .... and in that day the individual passes away as a result of giving Anita the benefit of the doubt .... will you still continue to help her with her graphics?

Have you ever known someone who died in such a way ... because they trusted another person who did not know what they were doing medically?
 
I've been slowly going through the VfF material.

Can we use the expression "piece of work" on this forum?

I was just being facetious, but yes I have known someone. Well I didn't know her, but she was friends with my mother. See this post.

I'm not making her graphics either, she wants pretty white stuff full of feathers. ugh.

Enough! What exactly is the point of a "demonstration" which cannot be used to do anything except further give Anita the attention shes so desperately seeking? Since the results mean nothing - even with the expected failure - what was the point? Anita failed because she doesn't have the ability she claims - which is exactly why she failed every single other "test" "demonstration" etc. But because of the way this was set up, even though it had the expected result it means nothing. Indeed, the very fact that Anita is getting attention from groups like the JREF will only boost her woo standings.

We know exactly what the excuse for this is going to be: she will tell us she knew she was going to fail ahead of time. She will have taken her "notes" from the reading and will highlight where she put that this one was wrong but she was going to pick it anyways. And then this will be used to say that she still needs to investigate. Of course, the notes could easily have been altered or (more likely) she would simply say no matter what she picks that she knows it is wrong because she knows the odds are against her. I know this is going to happen, but somehow I'm not claiming to be psychic.

At the very best this was simply giving a delusional person the attention she so desperately craves, and at the very worst the JREF just put on a three ring circus with a mentally ill person in the middle for us all to laugh at. I don't care if she wants the attention, its still wrong. Regardless of which actually occurred, it goes against everything I thought the organization stood for. And now shes going to get further attention as everyone stops by to give their opinion on this travesty. I know, I'm a hypocrite for doing it myself.

Whoever thought of this at the JREF should be ashamed of themselves.

I wonder why the JREF continues to give Anita attention over all the many, many other failed claimants?

Why do I feel if she were a middle aged male claimant she wouldn't have been at TAM?

I have no idea what the JREF are trying to illustrate with all this except that if you keep giving someone attention they will keep making the same stupid claims for longer.
And young blonde girls with no paranormal ability will be provided with much more fawning attention by the JREF than anyone else with equally no paranormal ability.

It leaves a really bad taste.

With pointless 'demonstrations' like that, with no controls and a 1 in 5 chance of 'success', it won't be long before she gets one right - and then...
 
I think a demonstration of Edge dowsing for gold would have been infinitely more interesting and entertaining. I couldn't bear to watch more than a few minutes of the videos, very bad audio. Too much giggling.
I agree with those who say that this puts JREF in a very bad light. Even the Rosemary Hunter test was handled more professionally.

Could someone just summarize what happened? Another kidney viewing gone bad, fine, so what was the point? Banacheck is a glutton for punishment.
