Trump's Second Term

Yeah, the fat orange turd tried doing that with the Little League World Series as well. As someone from Williamsport, PA, that was a big reason for the local area to suddenly vote blue in this past election. He put the legitimacy of the LLWS into question by attempting to keep the team from Venezuela from participating, when they had every right in the world to so. The LLWS puts tens of millions of dollars into the local economy, and almost all of the business owners in and around Williamsport are conservative voters. Those business owners rely heavily upon those 10 days to peak out their profits for the year. Pretty much all of the small local bars and restaurants are put into the black specifically because of it.

Williamsport is a population of just under 30,000. Lycoming County with a bit over 100,000. So it's all small towns, with one small city in the entire county. Those 10s of millions of dollars into this small-time economy is HUUUUGE! And Trump was trying to do something that put this major event into question. It took the Republican leaders throughout the entire state of PA to tell Trump to back the ◊◊◊◊ off.

We can be a bit blase about the hurt Trump does to some people, we should think more about the likes of Donny Jr and Eric's feelings. Can you imagine the hurt they feel when they see this picture?

What they would do to get such a beaming and admiring smile from their father.
I don't think I've ever seen The POSOTUS really smile before. Bristle, yes. Smirk, definitely. But that one looks genuine, although unnatural. Probably because his facial muscles so rarely get into that configuration.

Karoline Leavitt bravely runs away.

Finally, reporters stand up and challenges her lies.

I don't want to quote too much, so click the link to see how Cordes and CNN’s Kaitlin Collins kept at it until she fled.
Remember Sean Spicer hiding behind a bush?

Um, the Publishers Clearing House went into bankrupcy about 6 months ago, but it's still a byword. It may still be around under its new owners.
From Wikipedia, this was PCH's fate:

On April 9, 2025, PCH filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in an effort to eliminate its mail-order and magazine businesses. The company reported approximately $40 million in debts to unsecured creditors, total liabilities exceeding $65 million, and less than $12 million in assets. On June 30, 2025, the online sweepstakes company ARB Interactive received court approval to acquire the assets for $7.1 million. Under the purchase agreement, ARB terminated payments to previous winners of PCH sweepstakes. The company plans to protect future winners through FDIC-insured escrow accounts.

Regarding the part I bolded, it seems that PCH didn't purchase escrow accounts for its prize winners, leaving some of them high and dry as unsecured creditors.

Oregon man won ‘$5K a week forever’ in 2012, spent cash like he was set for life — but Publishers Clearing House went bankrupt. Now he might lose home

An old TV commercial once promised, “Only Publishers Clearing House can make you so rich, so fast!” But, as some unlucky winners discovered this year, they can also make your fortune disappear just as quickly.

That’s what happened to John Wyllie, a 61-year-old Oregon man who won $5,000 a week for life from the PCH Prize Patrol in 2012.

According to NBC affiliate KGW8 [1], he received an annual check for $260,000, which helped him retire and buy a house on six acres in scenic Bellingham, Washington.

But this year, the checks suddenly stopped after PCH filed for bankruptcy without warning him or other winners. Wyllie told KGW8 the turn of events “feels like a nightmare,” especially as he hasn’t worked in over a decade and can’t find a job now.

Trump is what he is, and he got to do real estate and play president.

If he had had less money to start with, he still could have conned a lot of MAGA type folks. He could have been a used car salesman. There is only one thing he would have needed : a goofy name. What would have been Trump's used car dealer name?
"Honest Don".

New US rules say countries with diversity policies are infringing human rights

Countries enforcing race or gender diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies will now be at risk of the Trump administration deeming them as infringing on human rights.

The State Department is issuing the new rules to all US embassies and consulates involved in compiling its annual report on global human rights abuses.

The new instructions also deem countries that subsidise abortion or facilitate mass migration as infringing on human rights.

"The Trump administration will not allow these human rights violations, such as the mutilation of children, laws that infringe on free speech, and racially discriminatory employment practices, to go unchecked."

I don't know why the Trump admin would bother. As I gather, MAGA is all about the domestic agenda, this continuous manipulation of other countries is not really that high on their list of concerns. They don't want the U.S. to be a global police force. What is supposed to be the consequence of Trump judging every country on the planet? Since there are no practical consequences spelled out it's probably meaningless.

Does he think the Saudis don't infringe on free speech? If that country wants to expand women's rights, is that a DEI program? But seriously, his base doesn't care. Nobody cares. We do business every day with human rights violators, and I'm sure others judge us to be violating human rights. It's not much of an issue.
