I get it but... The pictures should be reversed, Trump on the left to represent CAOS and Smart on the right to represent Control.

Sadly, there's probably a lot of truth to this. trump himself has referred to 'making great TV.' He said exactly that after his smack-down meeting with Zelenskyy. As he left the Oval Office that day, trump told reporters: "This is going to be great television, I will say that,” Trump said.

trump is so stupid, he seems to not even comprehend the role of the president in a democratic society like the United States. It's become obvious he has no clue as to the damage he's doing. But his base loves it; that's all that matters to him. I heard a fervid supporter of his say, she greatly enjoyed seeing trump on TV every day during his first term and looked forward to four more years of watching him on TV. The clueless leading the clueless.

I know from a couple co-workers who support trump, their attitude with Iran or even Canada. Their attitude is: Who cares what they like or want? SCREW THEM! If it all backfires catastrophically? No problem. The system stinks. Let it go down. We just start over.

I see you have never heard anyone complain "why can't we have white history month?"

Also, there are 11 official federal holidays. the markets are closed for 8 and most people I know only 6 of them off.
 
I'm a little surprised that The POSOTUS didn't declare June 14 to be a permanent National (paid time off) Holiday. After all, it's his birthday! He could cloud the fact by claiming it was celebrating Flag Day and/or the Army's birthday. Well, there's still a few years to get it done. But my hope is that he won't even see the next one.

BIG WIN in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on the President's core power to call in the National Guard! The Judges obviously realized that Gavin Newscum is incompetent and ill prepared, but this is much bigger than Gavin, because all over the United States, if our Cities, and our people, need protection, we are the ones to give it to them should State and Local Police be unable, for whatever reason, to get the job done. This is a Great Decision for our Country, and we will continue to protect and defend Law abiding Americans. Congratulations to the Ninth Circuit, America is proud of you tonight!

News accounts indicate the Ninth Circuit only stayed the lower court's ruling in order to allow this issue to be fully litigated. Gavin Newsom's response:

Do you suppose Trump took any advice before deciding to use the slogan "Nothing can stop what is coming" in the same week he's deciding whether to escalate things by joining Israel in bombing Iran? Nor do I.

It's going to look really ironic when civilisation is reduced to glowing ashes.

It has been established since at least 1215 (Magna Carta) that the King is not above the law. The problem is the US went for a system where the President is effectively an elected Monarch, and without the effective controls that constitutional monarchies have. The Romans could have warned that just because a dictator (In the sense used by the Roman Republic) was elected didn't mean that he would stick to the constitution.
