Trump's Second Term

If Canada was acquired by the U.S. why would it be only one state?
As far as Trump is concerned it's not much bigger, population wise, than California, 41 million Canadians vs 39 million Californians, so it should only be allowed to be a single state.
Woe be to the Cabinet member that has to try to sit down and explain to him even simplest of basic logistics required to somehow make Canada into a state, and 41 million Canadians into Americans.

Another nasty woman from the Danish Realm

Aaja Chemnitz, Greenland representative in the Danish parliament:
"Greenland is not for sale, and Greenland will never be for sale. So Greenland is not MAGA, and Greenland is not going to be MAGA."

Danish lawmaker shares her assessment of how Greenland feels about Trump (CNN on YouTube, Jan 8, 2025 - 8:50 min.)
President-elect Donald Trump has once again expressed interest in acquiring the territory of Greenland, this time not ruling out military intervention to do so. In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Denmark Parliament member Aaja Chemnitz reiterated that Greenland 'is not for sale.'
Joe: Trump shows signature vagueness with Greenland and Panama Canal talk (MSNBC on YouTube, Jan 8, 2025 - 10:24 min.)
President-elect Donald Trump suggested Tuesday he would consider using military force to gain control of the Panama Canal and Greenland, and "economic force" to acquire Canada. The Morning Joe panel discusses.

It won't. Trump will split it up and place Quebec south of Lousiana. There's plenty of room for it in the American Gulf, which will be spelled Golf from now on.
The water replaced by Quebec will be used to fill American shower heads, so they will never again have to go 'drip, drip, drip', which happens to be the title of the next Randy Rainbow song: Drip, Drip, Drip, Goes the Shower.

Fox News host Jesse Watters tells Ontario Premier Doug Ford he finds it “personally offensive” that Canadians refused to be annexed by the US: “That’s what everyone in the world wants—American citizenship.” It's a privilege to be taken over by the united states.

Why would I want to be a citizen of a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ third world country, Jesse. I'm Irish.

That's boring bureaucracy stuff Dump would relegate to someone smarter than him a random crony with no relevant experience. Or just settle with a map of Canada and his trusty sharpie.

From Greenland's stark and icy mountains
Comes the plaintive cry:
We want to drink from Freedom's fountains,
And have a slice of apple pie.

Now Canada says, "We'll do our part!
Don't leave us out, doggone it!
If you give us un piece de tarte,
We'll put our syrup on it!"

Now Panama down in its isthmus
Yells out, "You mustn't ditch our ditch!
We'll ship in Chinese pie for Christmas,
And all your cronies will get rich."

A dumb demented dream, or worse,
But so our fate has come to pass,
We march through history in reverse,
Our leading light the horse's ass.

The tyrant wears an airy cloak,
But no applause when we see through.
His minions lie "Twas but a joke,"
And just in case they shrug "Who knew?"

Now Germany warning against any takeover of Greenland.
This went over like a lead balloon in Greenland; they want indepdence but don't want to be part of the US.
The MAGAS though areon board...let's bring back good old fashioned 19th century Imperialism.
BTW, I don't trust China for one second, but I don't see any real danger ofhtem taking over the Canal Zone or Greenland like the mAGAS beleive.
China simply does have the long range Naval Power you would need for that. It is buiding up it's Navy, yes, but it seems to more of a regional Naal fleet then a "Blue Water" Fleet.

Germany and France warn Trump over threat to take over Greenland

Germany and France have warned Donald Trump against threatening Greenland, after the US president-elect refused to rule out using military force to seize Denmark's autonomous territory.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said "the principle of the inviolability of borders applies to every country... no matter whether it's a very small one or a very powerful one".

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said "there is obviously no question that the European Union would let other nations of the world attack its sovereign borders".

And using the 'Unemployed in Greenland: Line from "Princess Bride" as a joke about this has already beomce old.

Of course the chances of the US getting Canada or Greenland are zero.'
I see some kind of intervention and trying to take over the Panama Canal to be more possible.
Of course that would end up a bloody mess; and if they were in a nasty mood, Panam could easily do schorched earth and blow up the vital parts of the Canal, but then reality has never had much impact on Trump or MAGAs.

I would blow the lock gates and sink ships in the locks.

Maybe blow the pumps as well.

Close it for years.
