Trump's Second Term

Trump's presser this morning belongs in the "Trump has a mental illness" thread. Good god almighty. The only think sadder is that his supporters think he's not mentally ill.
I'm sure the media will blanket cover Diaper Don's cognitive decline as they did with Biden's alleged mental gaffes.

. . . Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

As a Canadian Trump's comments regarding Canada and his threats to use "economic force" to make Canada more or less the 51st state are both offensive and stunningly stupid. I also find all his comments about America supporting Canada economically to the tune of 200 billion a year to indicate severe economic illiteracy on his part.

I don't know if Trump is trolling or just being an a-hole for the ◊◊◊◊◊ and giggles and of course publicity. But his behavior and comments are those of spoiled child. (I am also not impressed by his threats to jail people like Liz Cheney for the crime of investigating the most holy and divine Trump.)

If he behaves like this in office we will be in for a bad time.

Did Trump introduce him as HUSSAIN Sajwani?

"Gas" referred to water heaters, not furnaces.
What Was Said

“Sixty percent of homes and apartments have gas heaters. He wants them all removed quickly.”

This is misleading. Mr. Trump was likely
referring to a new regulation by the Biden administration that would tighten energy efficiency standards for certain gas water heaters by 2029. It would not ban gas heaters altogether.

The new regulation would require tankless gas water heaters to use 13 percent less energy than the least efficient model today. The Appliance Standards Awareness Project, a nonprofit that supports stricter energy efficiency guidelines, estimated that 60 percent of new heaters sold already meet those guidelines. The group noted that the Biden administration had already released a similar regulation on electric gas heaters and that standard, completed in April 2024, required a greater energy efficiency improvement.

It's extraordinary to me how right wingers will fight tooth and nail to prevent efficient devices from saving them money.

They'll go out of their way to buy inefficient vehicles, appliances and incandescent lightbulbs just to thumb their noses at the liberals.

I think there is method to the madness - as long as he isn't sworn in, leaders don't have to freak out over him declaring that he wants to annex their country.
It's is going to be a lot more messy if he doesn't find something differently stupid by Inauguration day.

The actual Gulf of America is that widening gap between the USA's deteriorating credibility and stability and the rest of the world.
that ship has sailed.
The World in general is just hunkering down, hoping that both the US and China go down in flames fighting each other.

Politico: Donald Trump’s refusal to rule out invading Greenland or Panama has drawn ire from his critics, who derided the U.S. president-elect’s implied threats as “complete madness.”

“It’s bananas. It’s insane,” Democratic U.S. Representative Jim Himes told CNN, referring to Trump’s stated openness to using military force to take control of Greenland and the Panama Canal during a rambling Tuesday press conference.

“I can’t assure you — you’re talking about Panama and Greenland — no, I can’t assure you on either of those two,” Trump replied when asked if he would rule out using economic or military coercion to take control of the two territories.

So, let's see, when can we declare Trump's USA to be the greatest threat to world security since the Third Reich?

Oh, right, Americans are "the good guys!" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Anyone tracking the estimated 37 million displaced persons from the Afghan, Iraq II, and etc attack-choke-retreat campaigns? Or do Americans just want to rack up some more numbers first and go for a shiny Guinness world record? At least that would be coherent.

Panama has accused Trump-owned companies of local tax fraud, explaining that particular Trump obsession. It's yet another childish tantrum resulting from being asked to live as a responsible adult, a bar too high for Confederate lowlifes and their neofeudal Libertarian fangirls. Wonder if any Trump-voting Americans know there is a water issue behind the rising price and rationing of canal use, or are they completely clueless on that score as well? Oh, right, climate change is a Chinese hoax! Vaccines lead to autism! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Whatever. By February, just who and what today's Americans are in the raw will be grotesquely exposed, like a poorly endowed flasher caught and frozen in the headlights. Remember, nation-states are judged by their leaders, policies, and actions, no excuses made for internal opposition.

Oh, but they are aware of the issue! That's why Trump spent so much time yesterday "talking about water, showerheads, faucets and rain." You know: "It's called rain. It comes down from heaven. And they want to do no water comes out of the shower. It goes drip drip drip ... you can have all the water you want. It makes no difference."
Aaron Rupar on X, Jan 7, 2025, with a short clip from Trump's speech from Mar-a-Lago on Fox, 47 sec.

Trump's faithful Evangelicals can no doubt help him appeal to heaven for more of that precious water: drip, drip, drip. Or maybe they can wring it out of his diapers.

Which is kind of true. For all the countless things Trump said he would do in 2016, he did almost none of it as President. That said, being batcrap crazy to the world has an effect. And it wasn't positive.
Did he replace Obamacare with something better?
Did he become the infrastructure President?
That said, I remain terrified of Trump's possible actions. Please....go play golf.
If Trampy sitting in a truck and making choo choo noises isn't being infrastructure predisent, I don't know what is!

If I was Panama I would say that if the USA tries to use military force to take the canal we will blow up every lock gate and sink a ship in every lock.

Then let them have it.

What's to lose if they are going to steal it anyway?

I also don't think he knows he'd also get Canada's liberal population. The Republicans would never win an election again.
What made you think the ex-Canadians would get a vote? Also remember as he said to his supporters they'll never have to vote again...
