Every time I see a claim like that, I'm reminded of the S.T.A.B.L.E. G.E.N.I.U.S. Act and wish that it actually had been passed. Republicans being sycophantic to Trump and being well aware that Trump would not have fared well is a good bet for why we didn't get it then. Of course, both Biden and Trump having their health issues made public from the start likely would have been nothing but a boon to the country.

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of people recently are using the expression "begs the question" when all they really mean is "raises the question"- maybe I'm being a bit of a grammar Nazi here,* but those are not the same thing at all. In fact, if you want to see a good example of what begging the question really looks like, you couldn't, as you say, do much better than Duffy's embedded assumption that anyone is paying the protesters.

*But not a literal Nazi- and "literal" is another one of those expressions that people seem to have improperly glommed onto. I once heard a lady on one of those idiotic ghosthunter TV shows claim that something she saw on a video feed "literally scared me to death." I groaned out loud at that one- and I do mean literally out loud.

It will last precisely until Hamas is supposed to dearm. When they refuse, the Israelis can then continue stamping out the Palestinians, and this time there are no hostages to worry about. I wonder what Trump will say about his 8th war starting again, apart from sending Israel more bombs.
