Trump's Second Term

8 Wars, politically correct. usual ◊◊◊◊.

Trump to Israeli Knesset: "As you know, we decisively won World War 1. We decisively won World War 2, decisively, and everything in between and everything before it. We won everything and then they had the brilliant idea of changing the name from 'war' to 'defense.' And with that went a certain thinking. We fought in a very politically correct way after that. We always had the strongest military and now we have a stronger military than we ever had before. But we have settled 8 wars in 8 months. I'm now including this one, by the way. They may say, 'Well, that was quick,' but yesterday I was saying 7 but now I can say 8. The hostages are back."

Crooked Hillary!

Trump: "And then of course we have the host. I just want to thank you very much. There was a reason we chose Egypt because you were very helpful. Everybody wanted to have this. You are a great leader. You have very little crime. I want to thank you. He's been my friend right from the beginning during the campaign against Crooked Hillary Clinton. Have you heard of her?"

Tough People.

Trump: "I don't know what it is. I like the tough people better than I like the soft, easy ones. I don't know what the hell that is. That's a personality problem I suspect. But this gentleman from a place called Turkey has one of the most powerful armies actually in the world ... I just want to thank President Erdogan."

Make the USA like Egypt.

Trump in Egypt: "This country is doing very well. It has good leadership. It's really nice when you say, 'How is your crime situation?' and they like don't even know what you're talking about. 'What do you mean crime? We don't have crime.' Because if he has crime he puts it out very quickly. Some people think that's not nice, but I think it's great."

With all due respect for America's gallant contribution, no, the US didn't decisively win WW1. Nobody decisively won WW1. The Allies forced an armistice, which led to a German surrender the following year (which unfortunately left a lot of Germans thinking they hadn't really even lost).

Well, the German army did collapse and wass in full retreat.
The thing was Germany itself wasn't invaded and never saw any major battles.

The arrival of an entire new army of fresh American troops was a major contributing factor in the collapse.

Oh, absolutely. Their capacity to fight on was gone, but they sought terms and the war stopped before that was put to the test. The actual surrender didn't happen until the peace negotiations in 1919. WW2 is more of an outlier, with its outcome of unconditional surrender. Anyway, it doesn't much matter how complicated and messy it really was, because all Trump knows or cares about WW1 is "we won" therefore it was a decisive victory for USA USA USA.

<edit to add> Anyway, this all seems a bit mean-spirited. Much though I loathe Trump, if he did indeed get this hellish episode to end then good for him. I wait to see if he really did.

When Trump sees a dictator, he is immediately attracted to him. As he states himself, maybe it is a personality problem.

Not a cult

8 wars

Pakistan PM: I would like to nominate this great president for the Nobel peace prize.
Because I genuinely feel that he is the most genuine and most wonderful candidate… I think that you are the man this world needed most at this point in time.

The world will always remember you as a man who did everything to stop seven, and today eight wars
