Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

First, Edina is a suburb of Minneapolis. Second, there seems to have been no reason for her arrest, other than she was wearing a hijab.
According to the supreme court that is perfectly good justification to arrest someone. Remember racial profiling is perfectly acceptable.

Now, now, be fair: the Supreme Court said racial profiling is acceptable when it gives advantage to white people. In areas where it doesn't things must be colorblind and race neutral.

Sounds like Dept Homeland Security legal department doesn't have any actual lawyers. <shrug> Must all be DEI hires.

I've seen similar responses after the various times campaign events have used music without permission.
"This pitiful little band nobody has ever heard of (that I've never heard of, and I'm the only one who matters) should be grateful for the attention they're getting."

ICE detain U.S. citizen for "looking" Somali—use illegal chokehold to tackle him to ground.

Man repeatedly begs agents to look at his digital passport ID—they refuse.

Drove him 7 miles away before releasing him alone into Minnesota snow storm—told him to "walk home" in freezing weather advisory.

Only after fingerprinting him at the detention facility in Fort Snelling did someone check his ID.

The incident occurred at the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood in Minneapolis

No no no, Dog Killer Barbie assures me this is not happening.

Yes but as that all has been approved by the supreme court could you try to find something wrong they did?

Seeing a lot more incidents like this being reported

MAGA man points gun out of his truck at Hispanic "looking" driver—yells he's going to "Call ICE" during Florida road rage.

Man then jumps out to physically assault other driver through car window.

"You don't know who I am!" he yells. "I'm going to call ICE on your immigration."

Witnesses confirm that the MAGA man driving the lawn service truck did point a gun out of his car—then he started filming.

The incident occurred in Jacksonville, Florida

Apparently it's his own fault, he should have been carrying a passport and complied.

MINNEAPOLIS: “All I did was step outside as a Somali American citizen, and I got chased by a masked person, assaulted, kidnapped. It was inhumane. If this is what’s happening to a 🇺🇸 citizen on camera, imagine what could happen to your loved ones.”

“Deportation, Inc.: The Rise of the Immigration Enforcement Economy," produced by Lawfare and SITU, is a series of short investigative videos examining how United States immigration enforcement has evolved into a rapidly growing multi-billion-dollar industry shaped by private profit and political power — a system in which profitability increasingly dictates policy and enforcement priorities.

Fry yer own chicken, icehole.

Federal immigration agents were denied service and flipped off over the weekend at a convenience store in Kenner, Louisiana, after the assistant manager locked the officers out and refused to let them enter, according to footage circulating on social media.

The incident occurred at Brother’s Food Mart, where assistant manager Wayne Davis said he saw two unmarked vehicles pull into the parking lot and several individuals step out wearing Border Patrol vests, according to WWLT.
◊◊◊◊ off, Bovino.

Suck it, Noem.

A federal judge on Thursday ruled the Trump administration lacks legal authority to continue holding Kilmar Abrego Garcia in an immigration detention center. He is fighting new deportation efforts following his wrongful removal to El Salvador in March and subsequent return to the U.S. over the summer.

In her ruling, Judge Paula Xinis of the U.S. District Court in Maryland ordered Abrego be released from the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Pennsylvania, citing a lack of a final order of removal for Abrego.

Magaziner: How many US military veterans have you deported?

Noem: Sir, we have not deported U.S. Citizens or military veterans.

Magaziner: We are joined on zoom by a gentleman who is army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country in Panama in 1989. Earlier this year, you deported him to Korea. Can you please tell Mr. Park why you deported him?

◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ piece of ◊◊◊◊ ◊◊◊◊! If anyone serving Schitler deserves more than any other to go to prison for the rest of their worthless ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ life, it's her.

[Well, there are hundreds of others who also deserve that fate. Joseph Goebbels Miller and RatFark Jr. are right up there with her. But we can debate who's most deserving elsewhere.]

She lies about everything.
In a surprising development this afternoon, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem left a scheduled committee hearing on the Department of Homeland Security earlier than expected, citing the need to attend a meeting related to FEMA. The decision quickly raised questions after a member of Congress claimed that the meeting she referenced was not actually taking place. Secretary Noem informed those present that she needed to depart in order to chair a meeting of the FEMA review council. However, Moskowitz later stated that he was told the meeting in question had been canceled.

They probably only cancelled the meeting when they heard she was on her way to chair it.

ICE shoots pepper spray at peaceful observer—from inside the safety of their car.

Jump out of car to spray her again from even closer point blank range—chasing her from behind as she runs away in pain.

Agents get in their car to leave—then get back out to spray her a THIRD time until the canister is literally emptied.

"I lost my voice. I was blind for about 30 minutes," said witness.

"The pepper spray they used was so strong that it blinded me for 30 minutes, actually."

The incident occurred near the Riverside Plaza housing complex in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

That's ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ assault, then the masked cowards drove away.

Scum of the earth.

I remember back when parts of US media seemed able to navigate the complexities of US government activities...

This is what scares me about trump and his lackeys repeatedly referring to Democrats as "terrorists." and "the party of terrorists." Are we next? I'm convinced if they could they would. :eye-poppi
BANNON: The Democratic Party is as close to a terrorist organization as you can get. And if we start doing real investigations of this, they will be designated as a terrorist organization!

Is that when the mass arrests start, stevo?

Bannon wasn't exactly a team player and he made a lot of enemies within the trump admin including, eventually, trump himself. Below is a Wayback Machine archive of a CNN article published when Bannon was fired in August 2017.

The President has privately stewed over Bannon in recent days, including Thursday night from his golf course in New Jersey. He was furious with his chief strategist after he was quoted in an interview with the American Prospect contradicting Trump on North Korea and asserting that Bannon was able to make personnel changes at the State Department. This is the face of what Thunderbird and Sterno can do to a man.

It's his own fault for resisting or something.

New video footage shows ICE agents violently assaulting and arresting a U.S. citizen… 20-year-old Mubashir…and it is even more horrifying.

The video shows agents slamming Mubashir into metal poles as they wrestle him into handcuffs. He’s not fighting. He’s not resisting. He’s pleading, telling them again and again that he is a U.S. citizen and that he has his ID on him. They ignore him.

Moments later, a group of people rush into the stairwell blowing whistles in protest. As they stand there, you hear Mubashir scream in pain: “My hand!” The agents then drag him outside toward their vehicle.

You can hear Mubashir tell them again that he has his ID. Instead of checking, the agents assault him a second time. They throw him to the ground, shove his face into the snow, and then forcing him into their car without ever verifying who he is.

They didn’t check his ID until after they’d already transported him miles away, to a detention facility, where they tried scanning his fingerprints and face into their system, and only then decided to look at the ID he’d been begging them to check from the start.

And when they realized they had brutalized an American citizen? They released him with no medical attention, no apology, and no transportation back to where they took him from.

ICE/Border Patrol tried to kidnap a U.S. citizen in Minnesota.

In the video, you can see a woman desperately pleading with agents, trying to show them ID… even though U.S. citizens are not required to prove their citizenship to ICE. ICE agents are legally expected to know who they are detaining before putting someone in cuffs, not grab first and figure it out later.

But that’s exactly what happened.

Moments later, agents open the door of their unmarked vehicle and pull out a man they had already handcuffed… a man who did nothing wrong… only to quietly remove the cuffs and let him go.

No apology. No explanation. Just a silent correction after an attempted abduction.
