Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

SCOTUS will allow ICE to detain people based on their race, language, accent, job. Wow.

Basically anyone with a foreign accent is now subject to arrest and they may get deported unless they can prove they are here legally.
Sounds about right and remember, just because you think you're there legally, being arrested by ICE may soon be a good enough reason to revoke your right to remain.

You're also guilty until proven innocent. You'll need to provide proof of your citizenship or right to remain but you're not going to be allowed to get said proof and if you're deported in the meantime your right to be in the US will have been deemed to have been revoked.

Republicans are the party of White Supremacy, and they show more of it everyday. Hell, these days they are proud of it.
As are the followers.
I wonder if there will come a day when a certain poster who just revelled in all the cruelty will regret those words. I for one will be sure to not let him forget.

That implies that he is bothered by being referred to as a white supremacist. I find they generally aren't too irritated.

I'm thinking about the cruelty and support for the regime in general. As we all know, when the Nazis in Germany fell, a whole lot of its ardent supporters throughout the West suddenly pretending they'd never supported him. It'll probably be the same in America and throughout the West after MAGA.

I have not found out why those Koreans were working in the US illegally at all. Didn't their company secure visas and permits for their workers?

There is no evidence that they were there illegally (and quite a bit they were legal, and even had their paperwork- but weren't allowed to get it...)

Its not as if these 'workers' were janitors sweeping the factory floor and the like- they were highly paid engineers brought in to do specific jobs from other plants already building similar or identical parts, brought in by a very large international company that had dozens of plants worldwide and some VERY highly paid lawyers permanently retained on staff...

Versus the 'word' of ICE and trumps lot- who lie consistently, day in, day out...

Hmmm, who to believe, who to believe...

(and the chances of them or any other company even thinking of opening or even retaining existing factories in the US just went down- hell if you were a foreign engineer and asked to go help set a factory in the US after this- would YOU even think about going????)

I wouldn't- and I'm bloody white!!!!

Assuming I 'could' be convinced- I'd want one hell of a lot of cash indeed, for 'danger money'- and it wouldn't be a 'ten buck bonus'- you'd be talking 'I'm retiring after this job and buying a mansion and a yacht' level of money....
Even then- it would be bloody hard work convincing me to even step foot in 'Nazi Germany mk2'

ICE detain man on busy crosswalk with long guns drawn—after he was found not guilty in jury trial.

Judge even ordered his bailiff to escort man out of courthouse—but agents jumped him anyway.

Sheriff said he's concerned about a "blue on blue" incident—where a deputy gets shot in the line of duty over a miscommunication between agencies.

Jediael Amaya Sanchez had been found not guilty of assault by a jury in Buncombe County.

"He came to the courthouse seeking justice. He came to this courthouse to clear his name," his daughter explained.

He owns a car shop and has lived for the past 20 years in Asheville, North Carolina.

Is there nothing the Liberals won't sink to. It's clearly their fault.
I don't take any personal blame about democrats. I would not have had Biden running in 2016. But "democrats" as a fuzzy concept are responsible for Trump II. Not the Trump I term, the basket of deplorables did it all by themselves.

I fail to see how "democrats" are responsible for Trump 2. They ran an intelligent, qualified candidate against an unhinged, mentally aloof, menace.

Pretty much for not talking Biden out of it by 2022. A younger candidate would have been found, would have run against a Republican of the same age and one of them would have won. We had Trump and Biden in the picture way too long.

Biden was the incumbent. It's pretty standard to leave the decision up to them. I partially agree that I wish Biden would have dropped out earlier, and that the caucuses, or whatever, would have been run better. That being said, they still aren't responsible. There was nothing wrong with Kamala as a candidate. She was intelligent, well-spoken, compassionate and understood politics. She was the VP.

The only people to blame for Trump are his supporters and the GOP. Full stop.

Yeah, it was a referendum on whether to stick with the American flawed model of democracy, or transition to full-fledged fascism. If they chose the latter because of trans people, or Gaza, or because Kamala laughed funny, then America was already doomed.

It's like when Voldemort tried to return in those books written by that cigar-smoking transphobic woman. The heroes had to win every time, he only had to win once. Inevitably, the bumbling kids who were all that stood in his way every book would ◊◊◊◊ up enough and he'd return.
