Here's the thing, I do actually think that trump and his cronies, especially his cronies are fascists, but this is not a great example of it. They've basically reclassified racist harassment as harassment. Which is not wrong and also not reclassifying obviously racists symbols as not racist.

Trump is bad but if I say he's not bad in the way that someone is saying he is bad in, I'm put into the box of folks saying trump isn't' bad.

There's a great headline on the Time website, Coast Guard backtracks by saying this is false. No, that's not backtracking that is saying the thing isn't true. Backtracking would be saying the thing is true, but we were wrong.
 
Not being a USAian, I don't actually hate Trump personally. A better word is "despise". Here's the difference:

If he fell down a step because he is a shambling, frail old man and broke his leg, I would not go "Ha ha!" That's not funny nor retribution. So it is not hateful to hope he gets treatment.

But if he got voted out of office in a landslide (or got impeached and dismissed), then was arrested and convicted of all the serious crimes against the USA he committed, then was sent to jail for the rest of his miserable life, I would also not go "Ha ha!" Instead, I would say "Good. He is a despicable tyrant. That's what he earned, and that's what he deserves. Good riddance. May the USA recover swiftly from his dreadful privations." But he is still a shambling, frail old man with not long to live, frankly.

The people I do hate are those who have been cynically using a feeble-minded Trump for their own twisted ends - Miller, Bannon, Navaro, RFK Jr., Vought, etc., and all those involved with Peter Thiel and Project 2025. They are the Wannsee Conference of the Trump Administration. Their traitorousness deserves the appropriate legal penalty.

It would be really funny when the cultists showed up to his next rally with crutches and leg casts, though ;) . But he doesn't have the energy to hold rallies anymore, so.
 
The cabinet meeting this morning would make Kim Jong Un say "wow." I mean, they are praising Trump for keeping hurricanes away from the USA and saving hundreds of millions of American lives from the drug cartels....
