Hi, All,
I am a very new member, I just joined last night. It will be my first TAM meeting, I am excited but also nervious. But all of the chocolate talkings really get me very very excited, I am a big choclate lover.
Hi, All,
Can somone give me some advices on what to wear at the meeting? I am a female
I am told that it feels like staying under a hair-dryer outside, but can be freezing inside.
Also, do I need a dress for some event(s)?
Many thanks.

I think it's safe to say that you can wear whatever you want, whenever you want. I've seen some women dressed up (not a lot, but some do), jeans, skirts, whatever. I usually bring a light hoodie or something to carry around inside while the actual conference part is happening because it's freezing in the room. However, I don't get very cold during the social hours in the bar or whatnot because there are a ton of people walking around and I get to move around a lot more.
It is RIDICULOUSLY hot outside, but I get so cold so easily that I kind of like it.
I "saw" your face somewhere in one of the forums talking about going out for Sushi, can you provide me more details about that?
I am a big fan of Sushi, although I came from China.

As in 108°F (42°C) with zero humidity. I recommend using lib balm and moisturizer as necessary, even indoors. It is RIDICULOUSLY hot outside
Marlborough has grown and traffic along 495 has gotten heavier. The local gaming group had their annual ASL convention in Marlborough for several years.I lived in Marlboro, MA for about two years a long time ago, miss Boston a lot.
Ditto.I've never been cold in the meeting rooms, but others are.

There's the Forum table, which KittyNH runs extremely well. It's not specifically for newcomers, but anyone there will help a newcomer. Other than that, don't be shy.Any special events or sessions for the newcomers?![]()
Don't believe anything 'Scrut may tell you about "the running of the First TAMmers".![]()

You seem awfully confident for someone who is supposed to be "notsure".It definitely helps calming down my anxiety of thinking to attend the 1st TAM where I have heard there could be over 1000 people there.
Out of interest, does anyone know what the temperature in a plane cargo hold is likely to be? I presume it would be quite cold, and I could store them in my hold luggage without fear of a mess of melted mess of chocolate biscuit in my case once I get to South Point?
That would be correct. However, and this is an important point, note that your luggage will be exposed to significantly higher temperatures on the way from the airport to the hotel. If you're planning on using the hotel shuttle, make sure you wait for it inside the terminal, where it's air-conditioned. If using a taxi, you should be ok provided the queue is not too long and you don't stop somewhere else on the way.
And yes, I speak from experience.
