On the other hand why would the ET's technology look like anything we would recognize? The sadism explanation starts to look better.
Well, no...that was the point of my replies to you (and others) - they were somewhat ironic ... to suppose that we can know the motivations of aliens - and thus conclude thay are being "sadisitic" for example - would be nonsensical. We just don't know why they do what they do and what motivates them to do it. We cannot conclude that they are absent because we don't see evidence of what we might have done in the same situation, nor can we conclude that one "explanation" of their motivation is any better than any another - nor can we rationally conclude that they have any motivation that we can think of - they are alien! On the other hand why would the ET's technology look like anything we would recognize? In fact many millions of people from all over the world claim to have been abducted by aliens.
Note: a total of 13,270 Respondents took the survey since 1997 but some were eliminated due to inappropriate answers, jokes, spam, age disqualification (being under 13). Or non legitimate return email address as well as answering a few faked questions which indicated the survey taker was lying about their experiences. Also eliminated were those who took to survey more than once due to the same IP address.
Oh, not that hard to understand… jokers and hoaxers are prevalent and they seem to think it amusing to “mess” with the scientific enterprise and the peer review process (...and they don’t seem to mind admitting it - for example http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=6779529#post6779529)Hard to believe that some naughty people are failing to take these vitally important studies as seriously as they should.
Shocking!

As well as the writings and theories of the maligned "Troika" (thus people can see for themselves what these people think and write about) - there are plenty of sceptical articles that can be sourced from that link (http://www.ufoevidence.org/topics/abduction.htm). Perhaps you should question your own perspective for potential biases?
It always does eventually, no matter the discussion

Many beleive they are the "demons & faeries".
Gods, too.
The aliens must be very evolved when they can learn everything about the human race by sticking a prod up our asses.
All I know is, aliens abduct me and stick a probe up my butt, I don't ask why. I just say thank you.
They should at least buy me dinner first, though.

We just don't know why they do what they do and what motivates them to do it.
I just can't say no to guys with tentacles and their own saucer.![]()
