psi wheel experiment

I decided to do my own psi wheel experiments to see what would happen

(c=clockwise rotation)
(a=counter clockwise rotation)

there were a total of 10 rounds of this experiment in the order of c,a,c,c,a,a,c,a,c,c with a final 3 rotations each way at the end

the wheel consisted of a square piece of aluminum foil,a sewing needle with the eye removed, and a large pink eraser.

the wheel was then covered with a glass bowl surrounded by a line of weather stripping

I gave each rotation 45 seconds to complete, otherwise rotation was considered to be a failure

1.attempted c rotation,no results.

2.a rotation failed with abou a 3/4 rotation.

3.c rotation successful full rotation and a half.

4.c rotation successful full rotation.

5.a rotation undecided couldn't quite tell if it was a full rotation, however very close.

6.a rotation,nearly two full revolutions.

7.c rotation,succesful solid rotation

8.a rotation, succesful, rotation and a half although the aluminum fell off afterwords.

9.c rotation, almost exact revolution with a sudden stop

10.c rotation succesful but with only 6 seconds to spare

I then took a 2 hour break before attempting the 3 continuos rotations

I gave myself a 1 minute 30 second limit

1.3-c rotations, succesful but very slow rotations

2.3-a rotations, failure only managed 2 before time ran out.

These are the results of my experiment. With a 8-9 out of 12 success rate

Once again (and I can't stress this enough) don't take anyone's word on this. It is entirely possible that I am lying or even delusional. The only way you can tell 100% if it does or does not exist is by running your own experiments.

thank you

I'd like to have some more information about the actual construction of this "psi wheel" and the method used for the experiment.

the wheel itself was cut out and folded at the corners.

as for me I sat aproximately 10 feet away with one hand pointed towards the bowl and wheel.

How did you decide which direction it would turn in a particular trial?

Proper procedure would have it randomized ahead of time.

Did you measure the movement of the wheel during periods of time you weren't trying to move it with your mind? Your results must be controlled for that as well.

Ah, okay. And that balances on the needle and is made to rotate by psychic power. Got it. Thanks.

Perfect to catch any tiny air currents. :D You would wonder why an actual "psi wheel" would need such a configuration.

More likely is that there is some aspect of the setup that you haven't taken into account. Something that is allowing some force (like a stray air current) to affect the wheel in some way.

the wheel was then covered with a glass bowl surrounded by a line of weather stripping

You could have done better. Why weather stripping? There still could have been a leak. Why not put it in a jar that was completely sealed, like a mason jar? You might also, for example, seal the edge with Vaseline. Also, try to avoid light changes and temperature changes.

After you are sure it's stable, flip a coin, previously deciding heads would mean you'd try and turn it clockwise, and tails counter-clockwise. Give yourself a minute of mental effort to try and move it, and record the result (approximate number of total degrees rotated in which direction). Wait maybe at least 10 minutes between tries.

If you get consistent results better than chance, get press coverage, then apply for the million dollars.

Does this mean you think anyone can move things with their mind, or we get to experiment on you moving something with your mind?

How did you determine whether the wheel was spinning clockwise or counter clockwise? Did you always wait 45 s and then check which direction it was spinning or did you wait until it started spinning the selected direction?

Sitting there pointing at something trying to make it move with your mind?

As the great philosopher Mike Reed would say..."Have a word with yourself"

I determined the direction of rotation before the experiment (randomely off the top of my head),If it did not make a full rotation in that direction by the end of a timer it was considered a failure.

as for weather stripping it was the best I had on hand at the time.I understand that it may be inaduequate,so I may run the experiment again with stricter controls. However I'm afraid I am unelligable for the challenge due to me being under the age of 18,and lacking media attention as well as the desire for it.

You also lack actual psychic powers.

perhaps,I am well open to the idea I'm delusional.I merely posted this to get your feedback on as well as to see where I should go from here.

I think you should try your experiment set up in a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid and let the direction be determined by coin toss.

Both of these modifications will reduce the possibility of fooling yourself.

thank you high riser. Now the only problem is to find one large enough to place a respectable wheel in.Nontheless I will try this and record my results.
