Merged Missing children, fugitive parents, and drive-by shootings/Lori Vallow in court.

JJ would have been seen leaving with them, he was last seen two weeks later on the 23. It's Tylee that was last seen during the trip to Yellowstone.

Ah, okay. At this stage, it's so convoluted you need a regularly updated map and a program to keep up with all the who, whats, and whens. :boggled:

Where there are hot, acidic pools that will dissolve a corpse rather quickly.

Pretty much my point. :(

I'd like to cling to the remote hope they are hidden away somewhere, I really would. But I don't think they'll ever be seen again. The latest information published (links in posts above) says the disclosed submitted evidence includes Yellow Stone surveillance camera footage, which leads me to believe, BELIEVE mind you, not know for sure, that they have video of them arriving and departing, and that may show the kids weren't seen leaving with them.
100% speculation on my part, of course.

I'm holding out hope that the kids are still alive. I mean, I get killing your spouse. Its always a pleasant surprise for me to wake up without a pillow over my face.

But killing your kids...or any kid...takes a special kind of monster. Two of them finding romantic love together just seems highly improbable.

Yeah, but what if in your mentally deranged mind they had a demon, and were already humanly dead, but their soul was trapped in limbo (Not even Purgatory, LIMBO, dang it! Where you're repeatedly forced under an ever descending pole for all eternity!) and unable to ascend to the afterlife without the death of the earthly body? What then compassionate smart guy? Huh?

Then you post in USA Politics

I was trying to nominate that for pith.

Clearly something went wrong.

It does take a "special kind of monster". It is also so difficult to grasp a mother, so the opposite of the nurturing, loving, protective mother we expect, and that she actually murders them.

It has been reminding me of Darlie Routier, who stabbed her two young sons to death. In a nut shell, she wanted to get rid of them because she was jealous of the attention they received, of the money spent on them. By killing them and blaming it on "an intruder". I believe her husband was aware she was the murderer, but defended her.

So then the idea is that Tylee was murdered in Yellowstone and JJ was not. Well that JJ boy must have had lots of questions like, "Where is Tylee?"

JJ is autistic but is said to be communicative. He can talk and ask questions about his beloved sister who suddenly went missing on a sightseeing drive through Yellowstone.

So what really happened is that Tylee was "handed-off" to someone in Yellowstone and JJ was cool with that. Later JJ was handed-off. Both of them are alive and safe.

Sure.

I'd like to hope so, but I don't share your optimism.

I would hazard anyone living in that family would quickly learn not to ask questions about anyone or anything. :eye-poppi

Oh no, I am completely unwilling to accept that JJ was somehow conditioned to remain speechless if his sister was to suddenly and permanently go missing at Yellowstone.

In his mind, maybe she didn't go missing at all. He (or even both) may have been led to believe this was a religious rite of some kind (sacred, not secret), and would be rejoining the family at some point.

Never underestimate the power of a religious parent zealot to convince someone -especially a child- to utterly ignore every sign they see that something is wrong. We've seen right here on this forum how those who believe can explain away any and all evidence that contradicts the church, and even become convinced the other people posting are actually demons or agents of evil planted by the devil to confuse them and lead them astray.

Of course, you may be right. The kids may be safely stashed somewhere so they can survive the coming apocalypse and lead us all to Zion. I do hold that tiny hope; despite all evidence to the contrary.

It's human nature to want to believe the best; and that is exactly what many religions count on for their continued survival. We just don't want to believe loving parents turn into monsters, or that men who claim to talk to God would kill off their flock.

I don't think that's what he's saying. He's saying he doesn't buy the theory that Tylee was murdered at Jellystone. They could both be dead at some other location, however.

Ah! You may be right; I may have misunderstood.

Then why don't you just go Full Monty and propose that JJ murdered Tylee in Yellowstone? The parents had trained JJ to use a gun and then when they were all enjoying the sights of Yellowstone they handed JJ a gun and ordered him to shoot Tylee in the head. Boom. Done.

Religious zealot parents can have that happen, right?

Is there evidence they taught him to use a gun?

If he did use a gun, it's just as plausible he accidentally shot and killed her.

But, in either case, if the boy was the killer, why hide it? If he went to prison for it, the parents would be free of both of them, with none of the problems they're facing now.
