Merged Missing children, fugitive parents, and drive-by shootings/Lori Vallow in court.

This case is almost surreal. It seems bizarre on so many levels, and has been since the beginning. It is a complicated case, and Lori smiles and carries on - not like a grieving mother. When i was raising kids I know i would be miserable if i hadn't seen them for months. For any reason.

But again, Lori smiles and keeps on going, almost smug in her knowledge of where her children are. As to the kids; I have gone from thinking they are certainly dead, to now, I'm about 50/50. I hope, but just don't know.

And, it kept coming up to me comparing my motherhood/nurturing with what Lori has become is unfair to Lori. I must remind myself that she is sick, and there is no comparison.

As a father, I would worry if daily contact stopped. For a day.

What is weird is that a lot of her legal issues would simply stop if she simply produced the kids to the court (not all, the contempt would remain).

Nevertheless, she wont do it. Why is that?

I feel certain that Lori still believes that no body/no crime. The same way as she once believed that media attention would go away and then they would forget about the kids.

For this chosen "angel", her psychic and intuitive gifts aren't too good.

Back up thread, somebody suggested that she is stalling for the forthcoming July apocalypse. Perhaps she is. Who knows?

I suspect it's a combination of delaying until the apocalypse and genuinely believing herself to be untouchable and innocent of wrongdoing as a "chosen one." That is to say, even if she is convicted and/or the world does not end on the predicted date, she still won't be jolted back to reality because her entire worldview isn't grounded here. The cult leader that my parents and grandparents lived under simply kept pushing the doomsday date back all while genuinely believing, as determined later from his journal, that he was a "chosen one." That's not to say he was by any means not a massive hypocrite, as cult leaders tend to be.

A viral pandemic is not in Revelation, is it? I have to imagine that COVID-19 is only strengthening the resolve of end-of-the-worlders. When everything seems to be falling apart, the smug get smugger.

Would you classify it as a plague or a pestilence? Ether way, it's sort of there, but in the end, to qualify, it will depend on how many people it kills before it reaches Revelation level Biblical proportions. We're talking a couple billion, give or take, by present population count.

Last Friday, the two aforementioned attorneys left the case, the sole remaining attorney/Lori still maintains her innocence.

On St. Patrick's day, this past Tuesday, prosecutors complied with the routine discovery request and submitted evidence including over a thousand documents, a few hundred photos, and some recorded interviews, police body cam footage, and security footage from Yellowstone.

Also, there actually was a reason given for changing judges besides another attempt at lower bail or some-such: The judge was the same that was presiding over the custody case.

More Brandon/Melani divorce drama. At least one grain of salt recommended.

Brandon has provided eight exhibits regarding the allegations made by Melani.

Among them is a document allegedly written by Ian, wherein it is alleged that Melani said that Lori and Chad said that Brandon, Tylee, JJ, and two detectives assigned to the Daybell case had been possessed by demons or other dark entities and had become zombies. Incidentally, the cure is death.

Melani's attorney has stated that Melani did not herself hold the laundry list of beliefs mentioned in the document but was merely informing Ian of them.

The Woodcocks (grandparents) filed for custody over JJ post-disappearance.

ETA: I have not checked that this is the specific case being referred to, but it is the only one that I am aware of.

Refresh my memory - which one is Ian?

Watching these grandparents talk about missing the kids was really sad. Their filing doesn't surprise me. I just hope the kids are alright and can live with them. I'm just afraid the kids won't be coming along - alive.

I'd like to cling to the remote hope they are hidden away somewhere, I really would. But I don't think they'll ever be seen again. The latest information published (links in posts above) says the disclosed submitted evidence includes Yellow Stone surveillance camera footage, which leads me to believe, BELIEVE mind you, not know for sure, that they have video of them arriving and departing, and that may show the kids weren't seen leaving with them.
100% speculation on my part, of course.
