Cont: Greta Thunberg - brave campaigner or deeply disturbed - part 3

Equating anger with mental illness is not appropriate.
Oh, I never said they're equal. Nor did I say "mental illness", I said "mental health". And you're kidding yourself if you think there's no connection between anger and depression.

They would have unloaded their aid and gone home.
There would have been a huge scramble to get that small amount of aid. There would have been injuries, and quite possibly deaths. (We have already seen gunfire at aid distribution points in Gaza.)
Do you think that, on balance, the net result if they had been able to deliver would have been positive or negative?

All they had was a box of tampons and a jar of baby food. The aid would have gone quickly but the boat would have been stormed with refugees demanding passage and ended up being sunk under the weight of the sheer number of passengers. This is, of course after HAMAS had grabbed Thunberg, given her the Oct. 7th treatment and hauled her off into the tunnels.

Israel isn't even giving out food through the agencies it approves of - so any claim that Thunberg could have "worked with Israel" are utterly false and a cover for genocide.
Withhold aid to people is a war crime, piracy to intercept aid against international law.

It is amazing how much cognitive dissonance has been normalized as long as it is Israel committing the crimes.

Wishful thinking, much? What is your chosen means of delivering aid? Do you have one, or is starvation a plan?

Did you stop to consider that it was the IDF, not HAMAS, who violated international law in this incident, or do we gloss over that? Of course, the rule of law is to be dismissed as a communist-islamist-liberal plot in today's Jewish oligarch nightmare, both in Israel and in its cringing puppet, the US.

Because Greta has been a vocal advocate of Palestinian rights and opponent of the genocide. She has a platform, and she uses it.
Wrong yet again, unsurprisingly. Israel didn't Greta's flotilla flotillum through because Israels is maintaining a maritime blockade of Gaza, the legality of which depends, in part, on consistent enforcement.

If Greta actually cares about starving children, she should sail to Yemen, not Gaza. But she won't, because she doesn't.

She was 16 when it started, and the old guys are the ones who still treat her like a kid.
Nobody is still treating her like a kid.

If anything, people were treating her like an adult back when her parents were still in charge.

But okay, sure. What would treating her like an adult look like, to you? To me, it looks like holding her responsible, when she's choosing to be stupid and wrong.

I'd ask what this has to do with Greta Thunberg's latest boat ride, but I already know the answer: Nothing. Greta's boat ride was completely irrelevant to what's going on in Gaza.

For someone whose whole personality was once calling for emissions reductions, she sure does waste a lot of energy on inconsequential nonsense.

Nothing Greta does will have any measurable improvement on the plight of Gaza.
She's in good company. That list includes a lot of US Presidents..

THIS.

She didn't help her credibility, and didn't raise awareness, nor change anything about the conflict. She should stick to climate issues.
Why? She hasn't accomplished anything there either. Her posturing was just as shallow and ineffectual on that topic.

What she should do is become an actual productive member of society instead of a leech.
