Cont: Greta Thunberg - brave campaigner or deeply disturbed - part 3

Oh? You're changing the subject? So you agree that Israel was not operating in international waters, when they enforced their blockade of Gaza.

As for why Israel is blockading Gaza: Surely you must have realized by now that uncontrolled shipments to Hamas are an obvious and unacceptable security risk....

LOL.

Is that why they are blocking aid ships??

😂

That is a lie. And the ship was seized in international waters.
Even Greta's publicists say it was a symbolic shipment.

And there are no international waters in the eastern Med. Everything between Cyprus, Lebanon, Egypt, and Israel is claimed and enforced by those nations. When Greta and her PR team say she was picked up in international waters, they are lying and expecting you to be stupid. Don't be stupid.

Lies again. International waters very much exist in the eastern Mediterranean. Israeli sovereign water ends 12 miles from the coast line. And the Gaza coastline does NOT belong to Israel.

I suppose what they "should" have done was use their influence to actually get more supplies into Gaza. Of course, this would have to start by establishing their bona fides to the Israeli government, as a trustworthy and impartial partner in humanitarian aid.
Israel actively targets "legitimate" aid and deliberately kills aid workers.
I think the whole point of the stunt was to get those photo ops of the Deeply Disturbed Brave Campaigner...
Using the language of the far-right misogynistic hateful shock jock? Again?
Docking in Gaza was never the plan.
I actually have an analogy here from my experience with modern and historical fencing. Bear with me for a moment, because it'll make sense in the end.

In fencing, there is a move called a "feint", where you pretend to be throwing a strike at one location, intending all along to hit a different location. The idea is that you draw your opponent's defence into the wrong area. There is also what we call "redirection", which is slightly different. This is where you throw a strike at one location, and if your opponent reacts and defends that location, redirect your hit elsewhere. The point being that if your opponent does not defend that location - if they think you are feinting and try to defend somewhere else - then you hit the location that they did not defend - the one you were always aiming for from the beginning.

I think the ship had every intention of docking in Gaza if they could. If the Israelis had not stopped them, they would have.

Inhumane! Thunberg Kidnapped. Forced to Fly Coach to Paris in Back-Row, Non-Reclining Seat.

With the intent that others could then follow that up with shipments of arms. Hit your opponent where they aren't guarded. Makes sense.
