General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Via an app specific to the car park? Would that mean a dowload while you're there if you don't have it? I fear car parks for this reason ;)
As I posted in a pet peeves thread
I parked in a ParkBee car park. They advised me to use their pay app before I leave the car park. Scanned the QR code and checked the website. Website was legit so registered. Booked a slot. Told to verify my phone with a text. Told to download the app. Did so. registered. Told to verify my email. Did so. Told to go back to the app. By this point I'd been parked for 10 minutes and had walked down 15 flights of stairs while using phone. App tells me there's no parking space for me to use. But I can book one in 10 minutes time. So I did.
No there is no sign at the entrance saying "spaces/full". You drive in and park.

The Salvation Army

A selection, Full of Christian charity and the Christmas spirit.

Oh dear @salvationarmyuk not what those who donate expect. We are already funding hotels & meals ( or vouchers to buy food) fir these illegals, so why are you using fixation to feed them on top of what they already get??
Very disappointing

When I cleared my Parent's house,Sally army were very snooty about the first collections of very good or new linens.
"We collect only furniture"

I’ve donated to their last two Christmas appeals as I believed in their work. If they’re feeding illegal migrants I will not be donating again - I don’t want my money used in this way

I'm really disappointed with the @SalvArmyIHQ as I give each Christmas to feed our homeless on the streets. I do not give so they can feed these chancers. Forget it this year!

My 89 year old mother was telling me about this, and she is absolutely gutted, she gives a lot of money to this charity each year and says all of the marketing material shows homeless people. She will no longer be donating.

It will be interesting to see how many homeless actually have the means to contact the Salvation Army to 'book in'.

Thanks for pointing this out - will not be giving them a donation today

Well looks like im not donating my clothes to their clothes bank
I'm surprised at that frankly, as the Irish proverb says, aithníonn homafóbach homafóbach eile.

the original proverb is "aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile" or one "beetle recognises another", ciaróg being beetle

We need more wordplay in Irish on this forum. And everywhere else, to be fair.

Imagine the UK if Russia took over.
Possibly more freedoms, less rapes, and a secure border.

So now Labour wants to ban trail hunting. You might as well ban walking dogs in the countryside as they chase rabbits, hares, deer and foxes. Labour are authoritarian control freaks

Crafty just posted this.
Keeping up with the latest news as usual.

Strangely I'm able to walk many dogs a day without requiring 'followers', terriermen, half a dozen quadbikes, a few thugs to try and beat up observers or a gun to despatch any wildlife my dogs chance to come upon. Am I doing it wrong?
