E.U. tells USA what it wants

You know, you are very dishonest. You have made claims against me but refuse to back them up. You then hound me with silly demands for me to support my claims. If you break the rules I will report you.

You are once again refusing to support your own claims. I notice that challenging you to support your own claims is silly. I think that says it all about your regard for the truth.

PS
When are you going to provide evidence to support your latest false claim?

Answer the question why and you will have your answer. That you can't figure it out is proof of your ignorance.

Interesting.

As well as refusing to support your own false claims with evidence and running away you are now running away from simple questions.

PS

When will you provide evidence to support your latest false claim?

Yeah, and that's just the way to do it, too, by sending a do-it-or-else ultimatum to someone who's willing to sit down and talk. You must really admire George W. Bush to imitate him like that.

Did you learn nothing from this election? Do you know there was an election?

Do you realise the US torture programme is still official policy? The EU talks to many governments about human rights abuses. Why should the USA be any different - if that is indeed what you are calling for?

In fact, What is there to talk about as far as torture is concerned? It is illegal under international law.

E.J., One more thing for you to stick your fingers in your ears and hum. Belin wasn't the first one to come up with the idea of TV. That's a fact you now painfuly know. The point is that not everyone who comes up with ideas can impliment them. Belin's iovation of someone elses idea wasn't usable by anyone. It took other pioneers to make it workable. The same with the phone and the internet and many other ideas. Lots of people came to America because it was a place to bring ideas to fruition. That's why so many of the inventions of the last century were brought to fruition in America.

But I know, you are too arrogant to get that.

You really can't post without hurling personal abuse can you?

I have demonstrated with many links that John Logie Baird demonstrated the world's first working television system in 1925.
Let me ask you. Is that correct or not?

PS
When are you going to provide evidence for your latest lie about me? Never?

:) The sound of silence.

Why are you so frightened of providing evidence for your own claims.

Can we help you?

Did John Logie Baird demonstrate the world's first working television system in Oct 1925 or not?

Still waiting.

So unless the US does what you want, you want all European countries to basically treat the US like a Pariah?
Good luck with that,guy.

Prediction. The EU will work happily with the US because, hey, many of them happily worked with Iraq to profit from the oil for food program. Europeans are not inherently better than Americans. That's just the bigotry of E.J. speaking.

You missed the point, that you're acting in a George Bush-like way, but that's not surprising. Your blind outrage seems to prevent you from actually reading the replies that you respond to.

Uggg... Working in what way? It didn't work like anything we are used to but that sure as hell isn't going to stop you. The scanning cathode ray tube television is an American invention and it is primarily what everyone used. Next time you rail on someone for being an ignorant American make you sure your reading comprehension and technology literacy are up to snuff. Because lord knows any engineer will tell THEY AREN'T THE SAME INVENTIONS. Such [rule violation].... Grrr... It's like saying a LCD is the same thing as a CRT. What a [rule violation].

Mate, if you're American you might really want to consider the irony of that comment in light of your country's various long-term foreign policies.........

I'm jsut waiting for someone to claim that Fleming didn't discover penecillin......

And maybe, Architect, you might want to remember what long term is before you stick that finger in someone's eye. ;)

Long term, as it turns out, won the Cold War, and has created in South Korea a relatively free and prosperous nation, in significant contrast to what is up North. Long term created an economic win-win basis for Europe/American relationships. (Note: both of those little exercises have taken over a generation to bear fullest fruit.)

Long term takes a certain frame of mind to get working, which gives one pause, certainly, when considering Iraq . . . have you checked the short term thinking going on lately in Baghdad, by numerous of Maliki's political opponents, in re renewing the UN mandate, or for that matter, the SOFA? Some funny looking short term thinking going on there, thinks I.

Obama said he'd leave. The how and the when is crucial to what remains in the wake. Crucial.

If you reread the post, you'll see that I was responding to a complaint that the EU would treat the US as a pariah state if it didn't do what the EU wanted. Now, think long and hard about US foreign policy post war and reconsider why there might be some irony in this accusation.

Do you think America should have left Europe to the Soviets?

Everything, of course.

You are complaining about US post-war foreign policy towards Europe.

Would you have preferred that the US abandoned Europe?

Feel free to point out to me where you think I complain about US post-war foreign policy in Europe.

So you're happy with US forein policy in Europe, but that same foreign poicy elsewhere upsets you?

Likewise, where did I say that?

Lads, the point is simply this. The poster I quoted complained that the EU might want to treat the US as a pariah state if it didn't do what the EU wanted. Now come on, think about why I might find this ironic and more than a little amusing given what we know about US foreign policy in the past? Where has the US taken absolutely huge umbrage at other countries who didn't agree with them, and what have they done to make life difficult for them?
