Merged Due process in the US

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Good on the staff for resisting the cowardly thug. I wish they could have pulled off his gaiter and exposed this traitor. Hard to believe people like that can look themselves in the mirror.

Survived trip out of country and entry via Toronto airport. The passport control is there, when Air Canada flies you to various US cities. Mrs T spent maybe 30 seconds with questions. I showed my passport. Passport photo in hand the official took my picture. No questions. On our flight one clearly American white guy said he ended up in "the booth" for a few minutes. I did not hear details. Maybe he visited unusual countries. The number of passports of a few hudred passengers took maybe 30 minures by not more than 5 passport lines.

Came through customs in Vancouver. Waved right through.

I have the political blog back again. The idea of ICE capturing masses of people, just to show the immigrants they should just leave on their own, might actually work. But I am sort of reluctant to put anything personal in the blog again. There was a single personal entry in the spring, when I started to critisize my state. I had two encounters with authorities that were not plesant. I also witnessed against a cop who dangerously sped out of a parking lot to catch a speeder. It caused chaos at the corner, a woman driver running into a utility pole and that in turned fell on the traffic light.

The state level authorities do have the info to identify you pretty fast and clear you out of some situation. But out of state it may take some doing to prove who you are. We have no national ID other than passports or passport cards. It gives ICE a chance to harass people as much as possible. They do not seem to care who is a citizen. Since you are not accused of a crime, only of being illegal, they can stretch the rules. Some legislation is needed for habeas corpus to work. Set some national law that requires ICE some hours to prove that the suspect is likely illegally here. A person could get out with a stolen social security card etc. but that sort of thing can be worked out by ICE. Use AI to make some reasonable conclusion.

All they have to do is go to Blogspot and subpoena any IP you have used, then use that to identify your ISP and then subpoena the records associated with those IPs. An offshore VPN would help there but I assume your IP records will still be there at Blogspot.

No, it would not be even that hard. The blog already has a name that hints to nationality. My point was that I am an immigrant and I do not want anything collecting out there that details any aspect that has to do with my immigration. It's not like I had any false information when applying. My dad filled out all those. I had to sign. I was underage.

"BREAKING: ICE secretly deported Luis Leon, an 82-year-old torture survivor and U.S. legal resident of nearly 40 years, after he walked into an immigration office to replace a lost green card.
Instead of processing the request, ICE handcuffed him, detained his wife for 10 hours, and later told the family; through a fake “lawyer,” that he was dead.
Turns out, ICE quietly transferred him through a Minnesota detention center and dumped him in Guatemala, a country he has zero ties to. There’s no deportation paperwork, no public record. His family only found him alive after relatives in Chile tracked him to a Guatemalan hospital.
Leon suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart issues. The DOJ is now under fire, but this is the Trump-era immigration machine still in motion—cruel, unaccountable, and lawless.

Funny thing, though: Guatemala doesn't know anything about this story either. No record of any man near that age, nationality, or name in their hospitals. In fact, no evidence of a single word of this. The AP reports:

When the story is outrageous, yet the details and actual evidence does not exist, please, please... don't help to spread bull ◊◊◊◊.We are up to our necks in it already.

The whole tale is based on 'the family says'. They say they have talked to him in this mysteriously nameless hospital.

Hey, kids, you know why the hospital is nameless? Because it's imaginary. If it was real, the family would name it and have a photo of him in seconds, and there would be press and officials and advocates there so fast it would make your head spin.

...I don't think anyone is talking about whether or not ICE has routine flights to these countries or is blocked. It's just a dip ◊◊◊◊ stupid story that an adult would not take seriously.

You assert baldly that Leon is in the hospital. What hospital, Tero? If the family could call him, so can the AP. But it won't happen, because this is an imaginary story.

Snopes could not confirm story. Yet.

Other story is fake: There is no evidence that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained or deported any Mexican individuals who assisted during the July 2025 floods in Texas. No official records or credible reports support the claim that these helpers were targeted by immigration authorities.

Deporting Green Card holders is official policy.

Reporter: We’ve seen people with pending green card claims grabbed outside of court. When you say you are targeting mostly violent people, are you not undercutting your own argument when you arrest those other people?

Noem: Absolutely not

Neither can the local news that originally broke the story. In fact, it's falling apart quickly.

The Morning Call, a Pennsylvania local news outlet, ran this story from a woman who gave her name as only 'Nataly', no last name, claiming to be the granddaughter of Luis Leon. Little problem, though (which accounts for why he remains invisible despite having located him): he died in Chile in 2019. From the same rag that originally 'broke' the story:

"
"The Guatemalan Institute of Migration, which tracks migrants sent to that country, said it has not received anyone of South American origin, and said there is “no person who matches the name, age and nationality mentioned by the media,” according to the Associated Press.

A Chilean journalist, Jose Del Pino of Canalo 13, said a doctor at the Guatemala City hospital where Nataly claimed to see her grandfather had no record of him.

Additionally, Del Pino said, a man by the same name and date of birth died in Santiago, Chile, in 2019. Chilean citizens are issued national identification numbers and none matches another person with that name and birthday, he said. Del Pino provided a copy of the death certificate to The Morning Call."
