Did We Kill Michael Jackson?

Michael Jackson gave more money to charity than any other entertainer in history. He made the Guinness Book of World Records, but I don't know it if changed since then.

Dude who cares? He so totally copied REO Speedwagon.
I did a google on this and so far found nothing. What is this about?
It's specific to this website. There was at least one prior thread about REO Speedwagon being "totally" copied by someone else, I think Elton John. I think there might have also been one or two subsequent threads with modifications of that one's title, such as that someone ELSE had also copied them or they had originally copied someone themselves. I never read the threads but I saw their titles in the forum thread list. I'm sure you can find them by searching for threads with "Speedwagon" or "Elton" in the titles.

All I have to say about Michael Jackson is that, although I am certain that it was the odd "childhood" he was put through that made him such a freak as an adult (and the cosmetic surgery appears to me to have been an attempt to look like a child by exaggerating features that are normally juvenile features), I have no conclusion about his guilt of innocence related to any crime. I just haven't looked into it or given it any consideration, and won't just make up an answer without doing so. That's my general pattern with a lot of famous trials and such (another big example being O.J. Simpson). My level of interest in such people & things just isn't high enough to warrant paying enough attention to really get to a decision. Right now is even the first time I've opened this thread, and that was just to see why it had gotten so long.

But that "not paying attention or reaching a conclusion" thing is an option that a lot of people don't seem to consider in famous cases...

Michael Jackson? Isn't that the guy who directed Lord of the Rings?

He's dead???
Does this mean there will not be a movie about the Silmarillion???

Did We Kill Michael Jackson?

No, we did not. Some people can handle superstardom, others cannot. There are many many things that affected him emotionally and otherwise, but "we" are not to blame.

"Just a thin line drawn between being a genius or insane"

It seems the more talented the artist, the more troubled they are. I think it goes hand in hand.
