Man, you are the next best thing to Al Gore claiming global warming is true.![]()
There was some F16-Cam footage of a HezbollahIsreal has yet to hit a single Hezbollah military target.
There was some F16-Cam footage of a Hezbollahmissile batterybaby food factory firing a wave ofrocketscarnations immediately before the F16's bomb arrived.
Does that not count asa military target?unwarranted Israeli aggression?
What exactly is Isreal winning? Winning by destroying innocent lebanese civlians? As was mentioned already, Isreal has yet to hit a single Hezbollah military target. All they are destroying are lebanese civlians.
Israel is winning ground. That's what armies do. As of a few minutes ago, CNN confirmed reports that Israeli ground troops have moved into southern Lebanon. Israel is creating its buffer zone, just as it has been saying it would for a week. It knows that most of Hezbollah's short and medium range rockets are in a relatively small triangle in the southwest. They are hitting it hard.
Ultimately, it is after the longer range rockets, which Israel believes are stockpiled in the north. We will see attacks there as well.
Furthermore, Israel is winning by weakening Hezbollah's ability to fight, which is their goal. It is creating chaos and disorder in Hezbollah's area of operation. Put enough fog of war in your enemy's position, and it turns tail and runs, or dies where it sits as sitting ducks.
There is no such thing as a pure military target of Hezbollah. It is not a traditional army. It is a well organized militia. It operates out of residences and office buildings. That's where those missiles are stored. That's why Israel is destroying "civilian" targets. They are hardly innocent.
BG Hirsh, commander of the northern Israeli armed forces, confirmed that Israel is fighting for its life. He said they "must win." As I said last Friday, Israel is fighting to the death. This is bigger strategically that defeating Hezbollah. It is reminding Israel's neighboring enemies that it is fully capable of fighting hard, persevering, and winning. Also, it wants them to understand that it will never give up.

If you're trying to say something then be clear and provide sources.
Source. The sequence in question starts about 40 seconds in.Isreal has yet to hit a single Hezbollah military target.
Sure. I'm saying that you are incorrect when you say
Source. The sequence in question starts about 40 seconds in.
The clip begins with the result of some of Hezbollah's rocketry efforts on a not-especially-military building.
Hezbollah has simple bottle rockets
Hezbollah has rockets that are simple but this does not mean they are not perfectly suited to their job of killing people.
Source.
For evidence that they kill people, see the video I linked you to earlier.
It's not to say that Israel is causing more damage in Lebanon, because they are. But they have got tired of the constant sniping and I can't really say I blame them.
This must be a joke. Hezbollah has simple bottle rockets and Israel has an advanced military and a strong standing army. Do you actually believe israel is "fighting for it's life"? You are extremly delusional if you believe such a thing. Israel isn't attacking Hezbollah. Israel is firing indiscriminately into populated areas of Lebanon hoping to kill as many civilians as possible to create chaos. This has nothing to do with "fighting for it's life"! Haha!
I run on 56k and can't view videos. Please provide a text based source. If this is indeed true then there must be dozens.
You don't get it, do you?
Hezbollah is merely cannon fodder for Iran. These rocket attacks are merely a prelude, a probe if you will, to a much bigger strategic plan to destroy Israel.
These rocket attacks themselves do not threaten Israel's survival. Israel's survival has been threatened since the very day (literally) it declared itself a sovereign nation in 1948. It was immediately attacked by several of its Arab Muslim neighbors. It has been attacked repeatedly, in numerous notable armed conflicts since then, yet it has survived.
Each time it was fighting for its life. It is literally surrounded by enemies who would prefer to see it destroyed, some more than others. Although Iran does not share a border with Israel, Iran is a hotbed of radical shi'ite Muslim ideology. It is where the radical shi'ites look to for guidance and support.
Israel is fighting Iran by proxy in this conflict. Yes, it is fighting for its life when you use a longer timeline than however long it will take for Hezbollah to be run out of Lebanon or disarmed.
My remarks were entirely serious, and accurate. You don't seem to understand the dynamics of the region, or why Israel is so serious about defense.

I'm sure they kill people..But look at them! They are about the size of your leg! Compaire them to the weapons that are being used by the israeli army against the Lebanese Civilians!
I can find plenty of text-based sources, but will you believe any of them?
What difference does their size make if you're on the receiving end?
These are not crappy little home-made rockets.
Edit: Okay, okay... How about the New York Times? Remember that the video was just one launch site out of dozens, so that particular incident is unlikely to be singled out.As long as they don't have "ISRAELI NEWS" OR "JEWISH NEWS" posted on them.
How about Cnn? NBC? ABC? AP?
Airstrikes, the most intense over Lebanon since the 1982 war, have been carried out against Hezbollah rocket and ammunition stores, launching sites, barracks and buildings.
The size makes a huge difference.
The bottle rockets Hezbollah is using are crude WWII rockets from the Russian military for gods sake!
