Building collapses with NO explosives.

So Big Al believes that someone could win the Powerball twice and the state lottery in one day. And that this should raise no questions. And anyone who questions it is just angry because they didn't win. Those are the odds.

Stuff happens. People win a second lottery often enough. The odds of that are long enough that "winning twice on the same day" is only slightly less probable.

Absent some specific evidence of wrongdoing, nobody that knows probabilities would give it a second thought.

Profanz shows ignorance of many things. Today it's statistics and probabilities.

And I mean not including the day all the stars were aligned. That day it happened for two different reasons for the first time in history.
So if it happens in for the first time in history it can't have possibly happened because it had never happened before?

Has anyone yet found a steel high rise building that has ever been completely destroyed because of anything other than explosives? And I mean not including the day all the stars were aligned. That day it happened for two different reasons for the first time in history. Removed fireproofing for two, and thermal expansion for a third. What are the chances? I'm going to play Powerball tomorrow. I think it's up to 140. Miracles can happen. Just ask the skeptics around here.

You're obsessed.

So... No one has ever won the lottery?

Re: Coincidences.

Back in early 1996 I met this nice young lady in an out of the way bar surrounded by cemeteries in Colma Ca. We became acquaintances and played pool over the weekends for a few months but nothing more than that. I stopped going to that bar and all connections with that nice young lady stopped.

Then, in 1999, I visited the east coast with a return connection in Chicago at O'Hare. I was a smoker and went through the underground, neon lit, tunnel between terminals to have a smoke out front. On my way back I ran into the same nice young lady in the tunnel. She was on her way to Italy. I haven't seen nor heard from her since even though I still occasionally go to that bar.

So, you tell me. What are the odds of meeting someone in an airport you've been to a total of 6 times in over ~15 years, that you met in an out of the way bar surrounded by dead people, that you haven't seen in years, in an airport thousands of miles away, that has tens of thousands of people going through it every day and that you haven't seen since? Astronomical right? But it happened. While I was surprised that we saw each other and talked for a few minutes, it didn't cross my mind at the time at how unlikely the chances were that we would ever meet in those circumstances.

Unlikely doesn't mean unpossible.

You're obsessed.
911 truth is not obsessed with math, physics, structural engineering, or logic. They are obsessed with delusions.

8 years and now the best thy

Building fail in fire, buildings totaled by fire. The buildings totaled by fire I know about were partially standing, and one was standing due to the fires systems finally working before further damage was done. Fireman have abandoned fire efforts when buildings are in danger of collapse. But 911 truth thinks steel is indestructible but they dustify it with a beam weapon insanity is 911 truth.

I wonder why steel is damaged by heat?

911 truth is the absence of science, the anti-intellectual pit of stupid ideas. After 8 years of failure, 911 truth only attracts those who lack knowledge and are so gullible they refuse to research or learn. Those cult member who do gain knowledge leave 911 truth and join reality; maturity and no more fantasy.

Not two Powerballs and one state lottery in on the same day.

Interesting. If one of the jumpers had survived, would you have the same snarky "They won two power balls and a state lottery in the same day" attitude?

If one of the jumpers had survived? WOW! Is that the same to you? It's just as possible for someone to jump out of a 70 store window and survive, as it is for 3 steel constructed buildings to collapse for two different reasons in one day? For reasons that have never happened before?

I don't think we have an argument.

With what?
9/11 and its conspiracy theories.

Get over it. The day is not in the country's conciousness. Move on. Kids who were 8 when it happened are now 16. They are learning about it in high school. They do not learn nor are they interested in learning that George Bush put bombs in the building so he could pretend the impact and fires knocked down the towers.

Who said George Bush did anything but sit in a classroom and look like the stooge idiot he still is?

Not me. I have faith that in the years to come more and more young people will realize just how much is still not answered about that terrible day. They will look at the war it led to. They will see how some people were itching for that war before there was any excuse for it. They will see how those people benefited from it. They will put 2 & 2 together. They will write the history books in the future.

You are wrong. More and more young people will not care about 9/11 because it's buried in the past. Just like you weren't obsessing over Pearl Harbor or its conspiracy theories when you were in high school. But still, high school kids know, along with the rest of the world, that someone proclaiming I don't like George Bush! does not change history.

The engineer who built the WTC understands the collapse, 911 truth understands nothing about fire, steel, or the WTC. zip, what good is 911 truth; to spread lies and fool idiots, the insane, and the gullible.

The best expert on the WTC collapse thinks 911 truth is ridiculous, especially the thermite fantasy.

the events of September 11 have profoundly affected the lives of countless millions of people. To the extent that the structural design of the World Trade Center contributed to the loss of life, the responsibility must surely rest with me. At the same time, the fact that the structures stood long enough for tens of thousands to escape is a tribute to the many talented men and women who spent endless hours toiling over the design and construction of the project . . . Reflections on the World Trade Center, The Bridge Volume: 32, Number: 1 - Mar 2002 Leslie E. Robertson, The lead structural engineer reflects on the rise and fall of the World Trade Center towers

The entire pile of evidence for 911 truth is found in the empty set. The best engineers call 911 truth ideas and conclusions nonsense; they are right. 911 truth can't engineer a movement let alone buildings or understanding structures.

Argument from ignorance and incredulity noted.

Got anything like facts, figures or any peer reviewed engineering journals from anywhere in the world to support your bs claims? huh?

First time in history argument...

So then space travel is fake. (first time in history 1959)
Nuclear weapons are fake (first time in history 1945)
open heart surgery is fake
the internet is fake
the automobile is fake
airplanes are fake

All of those were a "first time in history" moment. So I guess they are all fake, right twoof?

So Big Al believes that someone could win the Powerball twice and the state lottery in one day. And that this should raise no questions. And anyone who questions it is just angry because they didn't win. Those are the odds.

So now it is shifting to the "low probabiity" events (which is just the first time in history claim gussied up to sound more scientific).

How many times can a person be struck by lightenting? Are they faking it?

How many times can someone win the lottery? are they faking it?

How many times can a person be attacked by sharks? are they faking it?

Or my personal favorite
How many times can you surivive a jet crash at 30,000 feet?

All of those are areas where "low probability events" have occurred.
One man has been hit by lightening over 6 times.
There have been people who have won the "lottery" over 3 times.
One particular surfer has been attacked by sharks over 5 times
And one particular stewardess has survived two falls from over 20,000 feet due to jet crashes.
