• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Does 'rape culture' accurately describe (many) societies?

Again nothing for me to respond to.
Is this a true statement:

material that many here are totally comfortable with you have described as abhorrent...viz. the Bonnie Blue classroom content.

?

You argued that anyone accessing such material in the UK is potentially committing a crime.

My posts were very clear so where you get the idea that "You argued that anyone accessing such material in the UK is potentially committing a crime." I don't know. I'll try again.

In the UK it is illegal to produce or consume any pornography that depicts the participants as being under 18 regardless of the participants actual age. To do so could lead to you being imprisoned for up to 10 years, heavy fines and being for the rest of your life on the "sex offenders" list.

Have we established what it would mean to be a "rape culture" Cause the answer to the question is likely yes, but what does that mean?

You really do like that phrase, "wallpaoer the internet", but repeating it does not make it true. Yes, you should prepare your kids for what the world might subject them to. If porn is the worst they have to face, they are very lucky.
Amen sister.👍

Poem's absurd exaggeration. There's a difference between something being available and people being forced to see it 24/7.

Give a child a loving supporting parents and kids grow up well. I know of people devastated by drugs, poverty, ignorance, violence, cancer.and war. But no one devastated by viewing porn. That Poem is so squeamish about sexuality is his problem. Not society's.

Can you clarify your issue with that above quote which you don't seem to know where I get such an idea from? It sounds remarkably like:

You don't seem to be capable of acknowledging that what you deem as abhorrent some posters here describe as legal and acceptable. Your above assertion has not been demonstrated and UK consumers continue to access such porn. As far as I can see, it's your view verses the entire porn taskforce and Gabby Bertin. I have not seen one legal expert confirm what you have been saying.

The bottom line is that internet porn of that sort remains immune from UK law.

Bonnie Blue's website is available on a google search.

If the porn video gives the appearance of the performers being under 18 it is illegal in the UK, doesn't matter what media or distribution channel is used.
Can you cite any cases where anyone in the UK has been prosecuted?

I found a case where parents where judged to have sexually abused their own daughter by showing her porn.

Yet it isn't.

As I have said - I've given you the cites to the actual legislation and even pulled out some relevant parts for you.

You are joking?

Go to any news site that covers the UK and you will find hundreds of such reports.

I am aware that you consider barely legal as legal.

I'll ask again - what is your point?

i suppose ultimately it’s that you don’t know what you’re talking about and making an obvious mistake

Nope, I have provided you the primary legislation, highlighted relevant parts, that you don't understand UK law is obviously something I can't help you with.
Gabby Bertin and the UK porn taskforce are all ignorant as well? The Children's Commissioner etc etc?

I'll just respond to this first citation: it is about child sex abuse images of actual children.

Perhaps you have got confused but what we are talking about? - adults made to look like children...
Again go and check the primary legislation, all depictions of under 18 year olds in pornography - regardless of the actual age of the participants - are classed the same in law.
