He's not lying, he's drawing a logical conclusion that you aren't drawing, about use of human shields. Using human shields in conflict is absolutely abhorrent, right? And should be stopped? How can it be stopped? Not by giving in to the demands of those doing it, or by ceasing hostilities: that would only further encourage the practice. The ultimate logical conclusion is that the only way to truly stop the use of human shields is to attack anyway. Make the practice pointless by never letting it work. Harsh? Yes. But that's part of conflict, especially ones that get nasty enough that somebody tries using human shields.

You're not taking that final step in reasoning so from your perspective there's still some way out of the situation without hurting anybody. Theprestige has taken that final step in reasoning so from his perspective you'd be letting the abhorrent practice continue (if you were in charge during such a conflict, anyway). So to you he seems cruel and to him you seem cruel.

Now both shake hands and promise to not use human shields in any future conflict between you.
 
The reason why the use of human shields is proscribed is because a moral combatant wouldn't fight with civilians in the way.

Of course, this is a big fat red Herring anyway, as Israel is openly targeting civilians all the time.
And it is using Human Shields itself, as has been well documented.

The supposed use of Hamas of human shields since October 7th is not well documented, unless you take living in proximity to fighters in an extremely densely populated area is the same as using them as human shields.

Israel claimed that Sinwar was using Human Shields when he was not.

What evidence is there that Hamas is currently using Human Shields?

I've seen little evidence that Hamas is currently even capable of fighting back. Israel keeps claiming that they bombed that hospital or school because Hamas had been using it as a military base, but I doubt there are still any "military bases" operated by Hamas any more, now that the entire Strip has been virtually razed.

You are welcome to post evidence of Hamas using Human Shields.

Evidence that Israel is doing so has been posted.

And Israel has boasted about killing journalists and civil workers in Gaza because of a supposed association with Hamas, not because they are combatants.

You should read some Israeli sources, not just IDF press releases.

Hamas is actually incredibly effective at the moment, having killed probably 20 IDF soldiers in June, making it the deadliest month for the IDF since the start.
No human shields involved, no civilian casualties.
Just remotely detonated bombs, or bombs thrown into openings in armored vehicles.

In frustration, Israel keeps attacking refugees in their tents.

You can’t be serious. Hamas has a long and well documented history of locating terrorists and command posts in and under schools, hospitals, markets and other civilian locations. Something the IDF does not do.

I'm not seeing that widely reported.
 
It's easy to find, but you have to actively look.
The IDF censors everything about troop loses in Israel, and most media won't report on anything not cleared by the IDF.
