Trump's Second Term

Yes. But I'd never buy a Tesla after Musk's involvement with Trump. Too many other electric vehicle choices out there.
The thing is, Tesla has the most reliable charging network in the country as far as I know. I would not buy an EV unless it was a make that had access to the Tesla DC charger network. I drive my brother's Model 3 when in MN. I do not plan on buying an EV for myself.

As I understand it, that is changing rapidly. By the end of 2025 almost all EVs are supposed to have access to Tesla chargers although it may take some time for manufacturers to roll out the adaptors for models that don't have a NACS plug.

yeah that’s the weird thing about the nazis. they celebrate and defend the worst stuff on behalf of the worst people, get super evasive about their own opinions, then get super mad when you notice

not saying that everyone who does that is a nazi if anyone gets super mad about it. but some of the people doing it are nazis.

and i know what a nazi is too by the way. so the concerned act about how we don’t want to water down the term by misapplying it due to some technicality could be saved. i know who i’m talking about, we all do.
For the fun of it... Cartoon: Tom the Dancing Bug implores you not to call them Nazis!

A bit hard to tell who he is speaking to, but especially when slowed down it's pretty clear that 4 year old "X' is caught saying:
"You're not the President, You need to go away" Can't imagine where he got that from.
Also seems to say at one point "You need to shut your ******* mouth"
I guess X should be the new face of the resistance! What a bizarre conference....

The federal government announces investigations into the Minnesota State High School League and California Interscholastic Federation for not immediately banning trans students from sports

As of the close of the day on February 12, my positive/negative score on the Trump administration stands at -127.

The score took a big jump today when I discovered Trump has so far fired 18 inspectors general, and I scored each as -1. I will adjust the score if the can be shown any of these people were fired for cause or had left their positions voluntarily.

12 February 2025
-1: Trump tweets "BIDEN INFLATION UP!"
-1: Trump suggests land taken from Ukraine need not be returned because the Russians fought for it [27]
-17: To date Trump has fired 17 other inspectors general without cause (will adjust if some were fired for cause)

Additions to 11 Februrary 2025
-1: Trump fires the inspector general of USAID

Footnotes

27. REPORTER: Do you future in which Ukraine returns to its pre-2014 borders?
TRUMP: It certainly would seem to be unlikely. They took a lot of land and they fought for that land.

Trans students are not being banned from sports. They can still compete, they just have to compete according to their actual sex.

Electronic warfare fighter jet crashed in the sea outside San Diego. The pilots ejected and were rescued by a fishing vessel.
No idea what the cause, of course, but I instinctively suspect Drumpf's policies for some reason (while he's going to blame whatever is most convenient to him).

In other news, I'm hearing Internet chatter there's a general strike planned for March 15?
It was a Boeing (nuff said).

I'm not actually sure he can even if he wants to. I think he may need agreement from the Ukrainian parliament. But your main point stands, no territory will be ceded without Ukrainian agreement. And they're probably only going to agree to that if they get something worthwhile (like security guarantees) in exchange.

Why would Ukraine accept any security guarantees from Russia given their violation of previously signed guarantees? (The Budapest Memoranda)
It would be utterly foolish.

Remember that intelligence community letter signed by 51 people regarding the Hunter Biden laptop? The one that Mike Morrel encouraged people to sign in order to give Joe a talking point for the debate?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.
I don’t understand: is this an example that shows that corruption investigations are unnecessary and can be abolished, or that they are even more necessary, and should be intensified?

IMO it was obvious that Trump would always throw Ukraine under the bus to ingratiate himself with Putin and the Republican Party would find a way to be happy with it because *Peace* or *America First*.

I can then see that it's going to be a peace like in Gaza or the West Bank but Trump and the Republican Party don't care about trivial things like freedom and democracy (unless it's the freedom to do what they want and a democratic process which reliably returns them to power), they care about money. I would previously have said they care about power and money but they seem perfectly happy to have given all their power to Trump and Musk and rendered themselves as simply cyphers.

From the economist...

Elon Musk is failing to cut American spending

DOGE has so far disrupted everything in government bar the deficit

One presumes if this comes to the attention of the Whitehouse the Economist will be kicked out of press conferences for printing such lies.

Reporter: Do you view Ukraine as an equal member of this peace process?

Trump: Ummmm ... it's an interesting question. I think they have to make peace. That was not a good war to go into.

WTF? Ukraine didn't 'get into' the war. They were ♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️invaded!
It's standard for bullies: "it's your own fault you got beaten up, you should have just handed over your dinner-money."
