Last year Hoke organized a Wednesday night get-together at the Triple 7 Restaurant and Brew Pub at the Main Street Casino in Downtown (Fremont Street) Las Vegas. About 30 people went and it seemed that a good time was had by all.

Don't know if Hoke was thinking about the same thing this year, but it seemed to work well and I think we should seriously consider doing it again.

It would be Wednesday night, 7-9 PM, eat and drink and then either on to other events or maybe a walk down the Fremont Street Experience (Las Vegas kitsch at its' finest).

Last year I had to get a 19-pax van ($$$) to help haul the folks (hotel will be 15 miles from Fremont Street), hopefully there may be other interested drivers.

Use this thread to indicate interest and driving availability, and if Hoke can't want to run it this year maybe I (or someone else) can.

I would like to go, along with my companion. I won't have a vehicle, so we would need a ride, but would be willing to chip in for gas/rental money.

Since I should be getting in early that week, I will make reservations once we have a rough idea of head count. There is an outside chance I will be driving to Las Vegas, so will have a largish station dragon available to transport people.

Otherwise, a cab split by a bunch of people isn't too expensive, and the Deuce (public bus) does run between the transportation center and Fremont Street via the strip. I forget the number of the bus that sevices the South Point, but it does go to the transportation center where you can transfer to the Deuce.

I, like Jamye, would like to join, will not have wheels available, but can chip in for transportation.

I may be meeting non-TAM friends for dinner that night; but I'd love to check out the kitsch with everyone after dinner.
 
Definitely interested. (And reminds me I need to get airplane reservations ASAP). Likely no vehicle but can help with expenses.
 
Tempting. I think we (me and the mouse in my pocket) are stuffing packets Wednesday afternoon. I don't know our transportation situation yet.

I should be arriving in LV by about 4:30pm on Wednesday. I'd like to come along, if possible. I'll have no vehicle, but I'm willing to help with costs.
 
Aww, I have tickets for Ká for Wednesday at 7pm, so can't make it. I guess there will be people around the hotel bars after 9pm on Wednesday?
