Merged USAID: is it really a bunch of crazy leftists? / Trump Was Absolutely Right to Shut Down USAID

Well, I am waiting for the gestapo to come deport me
Why? Are you an illegal alien?

If you are, well, you don't have a right to be here, and if you get deported, you lost a privilege, not a right. And if you aren't, then you're waiting in vain, because you won't get deported.

Becoming a citizen the legal way doesn't start with being in the country illegally. It's always baffled me that we're giving these people a free pass and a do-over, instead of disqualifying them and sending them back home. I never liked this policy, and I'm glad it's being challenged.
Should Musk be deported?

I propose you make an argument one way or the other: Premises conclusion, and reasoning to connect the two. Then I'll tell you whether I agree with your argument and why.
You appeared to be saying that people working illegally should be deported and not allowed to apply again.

How does that not fit Musk?

It's very strange. I'm card-carrying Resident Alien (i.e. a green card holder), and I've lately had people ask me if I'm worried about being deported now that Trump is in office. Why would I be worried about being deported, FFS?

It's the problem when the expression "illegal alien" gets conflated with "refugee" or "immigrant".

Why? Are you short on cash? In case you didn't know, that 750$ was fake news.

I also care about innocent children who might die because the fat clown and his jester killed research in children's cancer, but of course, the maga weirdoes don't care because they're selfish, steaming piles of vomit.

Yes, but why "is the Gestapo coming to deport you"? Answer me that one. Preferably without name calling or abuse.

I'll answer that if you answer this: Are you for or against researching children's cancer or do you just hate children?

I'm FOR children's cancer research. Now, please answer the question I asked.

Thank you and good for you.

Now to answer your question, yes.

I actually have a court date set up to start the process, but that didn't save that woman I mentioned in another thread.

Who? What rights? I keep asking, and all I get is silence.
The Laken Riley Act deprives due process for people deemed undocumented. They can be deported for simply being accused of something as petty as shop lifting. Not convicted. Not someone who confessed to it. Simply being accused of it.

Not to mention we have no idea what is happening with our PPI in the agencies Lord Hairplugs and his "Heart Goes Out TO You" Youth are doing in the agencies they are raiding and locking down.

You have a thing for rhetorical questions.

Anyway, I'll cut you some slack, since you're clearly not in the mood to actually make an argument. There's a few different ways to address your concern, but only one of them really matters to me. I'll start with that one. The rest are just for fun.

---

I am opposed to penalizing people for policies that weren't in effect at the time of their transgression.

---

Also, you have a problem with verb tenses. This does not fit Musk. It did fit Musk in 1995, and he should have been deported then. But he wasn't, and he's legally in the country now. So no, it doesn't fit Musk.

---

Also, I did not appear to be saying anything about people working here. That was an embellishment you came up with, probably to make what you thought was a better fit with Musk's past. But improving the fit of your rhetoric was unnecessary, because I never made any distinction about working and not working.

---

Also, while it didn't come up yet, I expect it to make an appearance very soon, so let me say this about it: People are allowed to change their minds about things, over thirty years of life experience. I got into all kinds of shenanigans in my youth, many of which I now regret. But I'm not about to go back to my hometown and turn myself in for trespassing or vandalism. Even though I disapprove of both those things, and would today advocate penalizing anyone caught doing them today.

I have to admit that the idea of deporting people for being hypocrites is kind of amusing to me. It's not a policy I would endorse, though.

If you're an illegal alien, you have no right to not get deported, regardless of whether you've been accuses of a crime. The fact that an accusation can trigger a deportation isn't really a deprivation of rights, because you have no right to not get deported.

The sort of information all the credit rating agencies already have about you? That the Chinese hackers probably already stole?

Yeah, I think that's not really going to cause the collapse of democracy. Got anything better?

She had plenty of opportunity to save herself. Presumably you did, too.

Did you decide to finally "start the process" first thing November 7th, or did you wait until January in case Trump didn't follow through on this policy?

It's amazing how everyone is just about to make things right, when they're caught. I see a lot of shoplifters offering to pay for the items they stole, once they're in handcuffs. The time to talk your way out of consequences for lawbreaking is before you do some lawbreaking.
