Are you new to this forum?
That's not proof that I'm wrong either.
Are you new to this forum?
Who says you have to be? Is anyone accusing you of that? Do you have to be a devout Christian to speak about Christianity?I am not an example of ALL liberal/progressive mindsets.
Correct. It's because it punches down. It's no mystery why liberals don't.
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The liberal mindset, everyone
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The liberal mindset, everyone
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The liberal mindset, everyone.
The conservative mindset, everyone: the conviction that it is repetition that makes a thing true. The liberal mindset, everyone.
Ah, the progressive stack.Correct. It's because it punches down.

Well, that's intriguing. Me wonders if other posters on this forum would heed your words and not make blanket statements about groups of people. Ain't happening.Yes, they are by saying:
"The liberal mindset, everyone."
As far as the highlighted part goes, if you pick out one christian out of a million, and say:
"The Christian mindset, everyone."
That is another made-up statement unless you can prove that every single christian has the same mindset as that one guy.

That doesn't mean there isn't a definable liberal or, rather, progressive mindset. There clearly is. Birds of a feathers, ya know. And it's not a new Western thing, either.I mostly agree, but that doesn't mean I can't use my freedom of speech to call them out on it, which I do regularly, especially when they're aimed at me.

Yeah, me too.To clarify: I was responding to the title of the thread, then I read some more of the thread and decided that it was too silly.
I would separate liberal from progressive, but the progressive mindset is so obvious. It assumes oppressor/oppressed power relationships, and always assumes the more powerful in this contrived relationship is bad. White privilege? It's how you get "abolish police." It's how the genocide of October 7 is waived off or ignored.Nope, there isn't a consistent liberal/progressive mindset.
There are post in this thread that prove you wrong, and that's why I say your post is a made-up one.
Prove me wrong and I will admit that I am, but I doubt you will, because of my second sentence.
Well, yeah. But not just empathy, a pathological empathy. One that excuses not just bad behavior but harmful behavior. It's how you get Rotherham. There may be one thing that's consistent, and that's empathy, but I'm not even sure about that.
