I get the sense that people think things are going down the crapper. But, at when you're going down the crapper, you're still sort of in the game. You aren't totally down the crapper. So, change looks bad...because you know its going down. You cling to something.

If Obama wins, it will take something like a miracle for the poop to not hit the fan. He will inherit a serious mess. It won't be pretty.
Whereas, four more years of Bush might just post-pone the reckoning a while longer.

Change is surely coming this time, no matter who wins.
But i can see why some people are afraid of it.
Which is where hope comes in.
Its very corny, but I hope our direction takes a robust turn, and there is a collective movement toward something more sane, and quick.

The book of Revelation was written in a time when the concept of a "muslim" was unknown because Islam didn't exist ! Mohamed wasn't even born until a good 500 years later...

There is mention of a dragon, a beast, a false prophet and a whore of Babylon in that particular chapter and a lot more creepy monsters but "muslim" is the worst they could come up with ?

How did the book of Revelavations predict a descendant of a religion that didn't exist until 5 centuries after it was written? Isn't it slightly ironic that the bible ends in prophecy, when that's one of the sins written about in the bible?
