Seeing the playground insults and contemptible behaviour reminded me of a video from the 2008 presidential election season. The black tie event where McCain and Obama were roasting each other. There still was a very slight edge to it but there seemed to be genuine respect for the other's views.

I always thought that calling it TDS was a bit of a self-own - it does sound like a diagnosis for his particular kind of derangement; someone who is a grandiose, malignant narcissist, with a penchant for gold and ill-fitting suits, and cheating at golf..

Who's this nonentity "internet personality" Eric Daugherty? Oh, just some guy who did poli-sci at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2020. Probably so glad he got his emperor to retweet him!

ETA. Those miners are going to be so sadly disappointed when they find out the long-closed and decrepit coal mines in their dying town are not going to open up ever again. If they are, indeed, real miners...;)
