Trump's Second Term

New lands and territories

Ted Cruz: "When it comes to Greenland, I want to commend President Trump for being single-mindedly focused on America first ... I believe it is overwhelmingly in America's national interest to acquire Greenland ... the whole history of America has been a history of acquiring new lands and new territories"

Hey Ted, how’s your ugly wife? Asking for a president.
.

Trump’s “Board of Peace” looks very much like a plan to replace the UN Security Council with an imperial court of vassals in which he is chairman for life, even after leaving the White House, with veto over every decision and the sole right to designate a successor. And a $1 billion fee for aspiring permanent members

Broad mandate of Trump’s Board of Peace sets it up for rivalry with UN https://www.ft.com/content/0ee79faa-86d3-4c01-a180-add6e164ac28 via @ft

Not a cult

Heinrich: If the E.U. Sanctions American firms like banks or tech firms, what kind of an impact could that have on the U.S. Economy?

Hassett: The president is the person who wrote "The art of the deal" because he's so good at deal making

Except Tony Schwartz wrote The Art of the Deal. Like everything else Trump just slapped his name on it. The truth is that Trump the successful businessman is just a character he played on the Apprentice.

Selling US government bonds would be very damaging to Europe but also the US government
I doubt there is little the UK and Europe could do economically to the US that wouldn't hurt us, being smaller, a lot more.

There would also be a much smaller chance of the USA providing weapons and intelligence to Ukraine if such measures were taken. If so, how many Ukrainians should we sacrifice for a peaceful handover of Greenland?

So give him Greenland?

What do we do when he decides he needs Iceland to protect Greenland?

Why not just give Ukraine to Putin while you are giving things away?

If you are surprised to see such a large volume of professional class leftists acting in psychotic fashion in response to routine immigration enforcement, remember the conduct of this same group during covid: masking babies, terrifying children, boycotting family, shuttering schools, purging dissenters, and signaling their “virtue” to in-group peers with ever more extreme, painful and draconian measures.

Someone give Miller some much-needed lithium and a padded cell.

Routine?

Texas fought because the American slave owners living there didn't like it when Mexico outlawed slavery.
That leaves out some nuance like Santa Ana was a total despot. And the "Texians" were not supported by the US government. Several other Mexican states rebelled against his rule as well for reason not to do with slavery.

The EU and UK together are actually pretty equal to the US economically. It's one of the reasons Trump and his billionaire handlers want to break up the EU.
