That reminds me - he was imminently going to stun the world with the release of huge masses of incontrovertible evidence proving the 2020 election was stolen from him. Wasn't he? That was going to happen, I could have sworn. He said so last year. Or did I hallucinate that?

There's no room in Trump's worldview for the concept that the guy who says he only wants Greenland to defend world peace might just become the guy the world needs defending against.

Pretend worldview of that second, maybe. This comment assumes a level of honesty about Trump's actual beliefs that Trump has repeatedly proven to be deeply misguided. Trump spouts constant BS to push his desires, with no direct link to what he actually believes.

Google AI says trump's statement that"Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships" is an "exaggeration." What trump seems to be referring to is the increasing use of the northern sea route by Russian merchant ships as the ice cap melts. Being that it's trump, I can understand why he'd like to interfere with that but it's not something trump is going to admit publicly.

The irony is, increasing climate change is responsible for the ice cover thinning and making shipping viable for much of the year. But trump is also on record that climate change is a huge hoax.

Hopefully the Eurpean nations will slap a 10% tariff on US goods in retalition.
It should be crystal clear to them by now...if they can accept reality..that trying to appease Trump just does not work.
To people like Trump, appeasment is a seen as a sign of weakness, to be exploited.

Those Russian and Chinese ships sound an awful like all those Japanese torpedo boats at Dogger Bank. At least the Russian ships there were real.

He's tariffing all the NATO countries that have sent troops to take part in staff meetings on future defence and to take part in the upcoming arctic warfare exercise.

That is Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland.
On June 1st, 2026, the Tariff will be increased to 25%. it will be payable until a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.
