Trump's Second Term

The world's most egotistical man child can display his fake Nobel Peace prize here...
Newsweek reported this morning that the world's most egotistical man child, donald j. trump, has the worst approval/disapproval polling numbers since he's been in office.

According to a Marist Poll of 1,408 adults conducted January 12-13, 2026, Trump's net approval rating, the percentage of those who approve (38 percent) minus those who disapprove (56 percent), stands at minus 18, the lowest point of his second term thus far. Some 6 percent of those surveyed in this poll said they were not sure. The margin for error was within ±3.3 percentage points. Newsweek article link

A major concern is the drop among working-class Americans, a key trump group. Among them trump's ratings were 36 percent approve, 54 percent disapprove. As football broadcaster John Madden used to like to say, "The wheels are coming off the wagon!" Increasingly you hear working class trump voters grumbling, "This isn't what we voted for."

Stick a fork in him.

There is a rationale to Trump after all. Punish blue states, sure, but punish states he "almost won" even more.
...we have begun 2026 bombarded with upsetting, awful images—of a masked man dressed in army green shooting a mom in a maroon Honda S.U.V. as agents screamed conflicting instructions at her, of Americans walking down the icy streets of their own city being stopped and interrogated about their citizenship for no reason except the color of their skin. How does one not shudder at the video of the woman who was dragged out of her car the other day, as she screamed that she was a disabled U.S. citizen on the way to an appointment with her doctor? Trump has sent more federal agents to Minneapolis—several thousand of them—than there are police officers in the city. It’s a fight he wants, and it’s a fight he’s got.”

“It’s not his only goal, though. Trump himself has told us another: “RETRIBUTION.” I know it doesn’t make any sense; it’s hard to see why the President would bear a grudge against an entire state. But grievances drive Trump, and he has one against Minnesota. “I feel that I won Minnesota. I think I won it all three times,” he said last week. “I won it all three times, in my opinion, and it’s a corrupt state—a corrupt voting state.” The fact that these claims are ridiculous—Trump never even won as much as a full forty-seven per cent of the vote there, in any of the three Presidential elections in which he ran—does not make this any less of a grave threat. Is the President capable of exacting revenge over a lie? Of course he is.”

There are some issues with Ozempic. Other than cost. Someone I know who is an actual doctor has lost weight but now worries about us seniors losing muscle mass. Excess protein we eat is "burned" or converted. But what if there is no excess? The guy takes a supplement:
Creatine might benefit athletes who need short bursts of speed or increased muscle strength, such as sprinters, weight lifters and team sport athletes.
While taking creatine might not help all athletes, evidence suggests that it generally won't hurt if taken as directed.

Although an older case study suggested that creatine might worsen kidney dysfunction in people with kidney disorders, creatine doesn't appear to affect kidney function in healthy people.

The DOJ argues that federal courts lack the authority to enforce the Epstein Transparency Act

NEW: The DOJ has filed a motion to block the appointment of an independent monitor to release the Epstein files in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

The DOJ argues that federal courts lack the authority to enforce the Epstein Transparency Act and that Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie don’t have standing to recommend an independent monitor.

In short, it appears the DOJ’s position is that no court can force them to produce the files.

Same pattern as the last round of abject failures closing in on him.

Create chaos and pardon everyone possible for a small donation to his escape to Moscow fund. There has to be a way to thwart this stupidity he does.

When Canadian PM Mark Carney talks about a “new world order,” he’s SERIOUS. He knows it’s inevitable and the world has 3 options:

- Europe’s Great Reset (Carney’s original pick, which has been devastated by Trump)

- China’s global dominance (which allows elites who bow to China to stay in power, at least for now)

- Trump’s America First agenda, (the only one that gives the PEOPLE power over the planners)

Carney just signed Canadians up for China’s tyranny so elites like him can remain in charge. Let that sink in, eh

Trump has more enabled the reset of EU and Asain nations trade much more than anything. They are doing quite well even at this stage.

He has utterly ruined the US as a trade option without doubt. China isn't exactly trustworthy as a power but is quite useful as a trade partner.

China can lose bigger than we know by not playing well with world trade. They have huge internal problems that need a healthy income to recover from. Xi isn't stupid, he will try to fix them without fully shutting down internal corruption.
Be wary but benefit when possible seems the current track for everyone dealing with China.

What is a great European reset and what has Trump done that "devastates"...

From Google AI. :p
The "great European reset" refers to a strategic shift within the European Union (EU) towards achieving greater
"strategic autonomy"—reducing its heavy reliance on the United States for defense, technology, and economic security. This concept gained momentum in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the geopolitical shocks of the first Trump administration (2017–2021) and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, aiming to transform the EU into a more self-reliant global power.
Donald Trump’s "America First" policies have been described as "devastating" or highly disruptive to this initiative because they attack the very foundation of the European project—transatlantic unity—while simultaneously creating economic and security crises that expose Europe's weaknesses.

Take it for what's it worth -- it's AI -- but it seems pretty much on point.

Phillip: I'm actually shocked that they didn't even wait until the week was done to pardon another fraudster. I mean, I somebody who already received a pardon and then went and did it again.

They say crime doesn't pay.

Crime pays Trump millions. And if they catch you again you get to pay millions more.

I keep thinking there has to be a catch. Surely this presidential pardon thing has to have some kind of safeguard against flagrant bribery for pardons. I mean, medieval popes selling indulgencies were one of the triggers for the reformation. Someone must have thought about this. There was a time people in public office weren't venal half-wits. They must have considered it. Surely.

Thanks. Though I don't see how a more autonomous Europe would be "founded" on transatlantic unity (other than with Canada). If Europe has to adapt to get by with less reliance on its relationship with the US then what's the unity bit for? It seems more like Trump has accelerated that change by signalling he's an unreliable partner.
