Trump's Second Term

Karoline Leavitt bravely runs away.

Finally, reporters stand up and challenges her lies.

‘Look at That Coward Run’: Karoline Leavitt Bolts for Exit After Grilling on Trump’s Latest Threat, But One Reporter Still Manages to Expose Her Lie

A rattled White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tried to defend her boss, President Donald Trump, at Thursday’s press briefing during intense questioning about Trump’s calls to execute six Democratic lawmakers over a video message urging U.S. troops to protect the Constitution and refuse illegal military orders. But she ended up fleeing the briefing in indignation instead.

It started about 22 minutes into the press briefing with a question from CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Nancy Cordes.

“This morning, President Trump accused six Democratic lawmakers of ‘SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR punishable by DEATH.’ Just to be clear, does the president want to execute members of Congress?”

Leavitt insisted Trump was not calling for the execution of the lawmakers.

“Let’s be clear about what the President is responding to because many in this room want to talk about the President’s response, but not what brought the president to responding in this way,” she began.

“You have sitting members of the United States Congress who conspired together to orchestrate a video message to members of the United States military, to active-duty service members, to members of the national security apparatus, encouraging them to defy the President’s lawful orders,” Leavitte stated, working herself up into a lather.

“The sanctity of our military rests on the chain of command and if that chain of command is broken it can lead to people getting killed. It can lead to chaos, and that is what these members of Congress, who swore an oath to abide by the Constitution, are essentially encouraging,” an indignant Leavitt declared.

I don't want to quote too much, so click the link to see how Cordes and CNN’s Kaitlin Collins kept at it until she fled.

CONCORD, N.H. — Concord police responded to the Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander's office for a potential bomb threat Friday afternoon.

Upon learning this information, police closed North Main Street between Pleasant Street and School Street.

New Hampshire Police Bomb Squad assisted in a search of the area and building. After searching, the threat was dispelled and the road was opened, police say.

This comes days after Goodlander and other lawmakers appeared in a video statement telling military members they can refuse illegal orders.

U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio, who also appeared in the video statement, was targeted by bomb threats Friday, a spokesperson for the Democratic congressman said.

U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin, was also targeted by bomb threats Friday, a social media post on Slotkin's account said.

U.S Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, was also targeted by bomb threats Friday, a spokesperson for the Houlahan said on a social media post.

Your logic: Grok once made a mistake; therefore, we cannot trust Grok on any subject.
My logic: You once made a mistake; therefore, we cannot trust you on any subject (not really, but, hopefully, you get the point).
It's a computer, dude. Do you know how computers and their programs even work? Computers cannot change their minds. They only have a specific set of instructions, and they follow that to the T. They are incapable of using skepticism. If something is written into the code, then it follows that code. Period. It is incapable of questioning or suspecting a claim is rubbish. If you programmed into their code that there is an entire ocean sitting on top of the peak of Mt. Everest, then that is what it will put out there. Garbage in, garbage out.

If they are blatantly violating the constitution as you claim, then why have the courts not stopped them?
There are a few issues at play here.

First of all, the courts can act slowly, and complex questions of "legality" can take time to determine, especially when you start involving appeals court. So even if the government is violating the constitution, it could take a while to make that final determination.

Secondly, many of the judges were appointed by stubby mcbonespurs himself, and he has a habit of picking incompetent people. (Remember, judge cannon was one of Trump's picks.)

Lastly, even if the court steps in to issue a ruling to block some government action because of the Constitution, there is a chance that the Trump administration will simply ignore it and keep doing what they were doing.

Witness the way they handled the Garcia case... Deported to el Salvador despite the judge issuing a ruling that it was violating his rights, claiming "the plane cannot be turned around"

Trump is what he is, and he got to do real estate and play president.

If he had had less money to start with, he still could have conned a lot of MAGA type folks. He could have been a used car salesman. There is only one thing he would have needed : a goofy name. What would have been Trump's used car dealer name?

Nursing organizations are “deeply concerned” after the occupation has been “excluded” by definition as a “professional degree” by the Department of Education.

The decision is part of the sweeping cuts to student loans, overseen by Education Secretary Linda McMahon, laid out in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”

The move has alarmed nursing organizations, which warned that limiting student nurses’ access to funding “threatens the very foundation of patient care.”

Haiti qualified for the World Cup. But the Trump administration says its fans aren’t welcome.

The Trump administration will not grant any special exceptions for Haitian soccer fans hoping to travel to the U.S. to follow their team at next year’s FIFA World Cup, according to the State Department.

Haiti, which this week qualified to compete in the men’s World Cup for the first time since 1974, is covered by a travel ban President Donald Trump signed in June. The presidential proclamation restricts people from 19 countries from entering the United States, while including exemptions for players and their families, coaches and support personnel to participate in major sporting events. But the State Department confirmed to POLITICO on Friday that this exception will not apply to Haitian fans or spectators hoping to attend.

Haiti joins Iran as the second country covered under the travel ban to qualify for a place in the tournament, which the United States will co-host with Canada and Mexico. The same travel-ban restrictions apply to both countries.

Highest Poll numbers of his political career.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
I HAVE JUST GOTTEN THE HIGHEST POLL NUMBERS OF MY "POLITICAL CAREER." While my great work on the Economy has not yet been fully appreciated, it will be! Things are really Rockin'. Stopping WARS and Foreign Relations seems to be a strong suit. Also great, The Border and Stopping Crime. I predict that the Economy, with the already HIGHEST STOCK MARKET, EVER, and prices coming sharply down from the Biden disaster, will soon be at the top of the list. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

It's not just them, of course.

List of Degrees Not Classed as 'Professional' by Trump Admin

  • Nursing
  • Physician assistants
  • Physical therapists
  • Audiologists
  • Architects
  • Accountants
  • Educators
  • Social workers
Amy McGrath had a good question and comment, incidentally -

Amy McGrath, a candidate for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky, wrote in a post on X: "Can someone explain how a theologian is considered more "professional" than a nurse practitioner? As part of the "Big Beautiful Bill" the Department of Education just proposed a reclassification of a "professional degree," and it means fewer students will qualify for the higher loan limits they need for grad school. Programs being excluded include many fields dominated by women like health care, counseling, and social work. This isn’t a coincidence. This is a way to quietly push women out of professional careers. Limiting who can pursue advanced degrees in critical professions will only deepen the workforce shortages we’re already facing."

Elsewhere, we all saw this coming, I think -

RFK Jr.’s change to autism and vaccine guidance is propaganda

Per RFK's change that wasn't run by any actual science teams,

  • The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.
  • Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.
  • HHS has launched a comprehensive assessment of the causes of autism, including investigations on plausible biologic mechanisms and potential causal links.

There's something to be said here about how he's relying on "You can't prove a negative of this kind!" and lying about the science.
